The watch is visible in the trailer (the shot of Bond finding Safin's lair when he's holding the machine gun) but it's out of focus.

I think it’s actually rather nice. I might still go for the Spectre one first, but this still beats Brosnan’s into a cocked hat.

I wonder when they’re going to lean into the ‘No TIME To Die’ thing? :D

They should, it's a tagline waiting to happen. And I agree with you, @mtm, about the watch. Lovely. I still prefer my QOS PO42 Omega, and I'd still go to that lovely one from SP with the NATO strap first. But this would definitely come third. Never been a fan of the blue 300, well except in 95, when I still wanted a blue BMWz3 as well. What Bond does to you, eh?

The pricing is ridiculous. Its already entering Rolex territory with that price. Yes its titanium but it doesn't justify the price imo. Plus its with an aluminium bezel, so that's a step backwards. No doubt it looks good, will perhaps look even better in person. Good thing it's not a limited edition. So maybe if i do get it, I'll get it preowned, not gonna pay full price for it. Doubt it would go up in value too unlike the one from Spectre since it would be easily available.

It is a lovely watch but at more than £7k it is too expensive.

I have the Omega Seamaster 300 Skyfall edition and that was £4,500, which I thought was enough.

I'm stunned that the milanese strap version costs $1K more than the Nato version!

For the same price as the new Bond watch on a NATO, you could get a stronger titanium WITH ceramic. Of course, I don't think Craig had input on its design and it isn't featured in the movie...

Here's the same watch they are offering on the nato strap. Looks better I think. Albeit it isn't screen accurate...

Well, Imran, that’s the thing. The OB I spoke with and another article I saw seem to think it WILL be seen on the nato, too. I guess we’ll find out in April for sure, but I haven’t seen evidence yet that the assumption is accurate.

Doubt it. The titanium mesh is the main selling point and the official and accurate look he wore in the movie. The nato is just an alternative lower cost option. Plus all the pics on set shows him wearing it on the mesh. Unless there are some underwater scenes filmed behind closed doors with him wearing it on nato we are not aware of.

The other watch he'll wear is the Aqua Terra, and from the spy pics in Italy, judging by the hour marker at 6 and the blank space at 3 o'clock, it's not even the current Aqua Terra but the previous one that he wore in Spectre.

Further indication that these scenes take place shortly after SP.

I'd like to think so too. But Bond was wearing a different Omega when he drove off with Madeleine in the DB5 at the end of Spectre. A vintage Omega Chronograph... https://www.jamesbondlifestyle.com/product/vintage-omega-chronograph-caliber-321

    49211121866_10f2383010_o.jpg

Screw continuity i guess... Lol.. They probably think audiences don't notice these small details.

Well, I’m sure several people wear more than one watch as we’ve already seen Bond do. Just because he left London in a chronograph doesn’t mean he couldn’t wear his AT in Italy.

Yes indeed; if he can change his trousers he can change his watch! :) I Di love that chronograph though and it would be nice to see it again.
If they have used the old watch because this is set several years ago (and it would make sense if we see him having made a life for himself in Jamaica) it would be an unusual level of continuity when compared to the opening of Quantum of Solace which was supposedly set immediately after the ending of Casino Royale but had Bond in a completely different suit! :)

What’s the largest number of watches Bond has worn in one film before? There’s quite a few where he’s worn two (LALD, Thunderball and Octopussy spring to mind) but is Spectre the only one where he’s worn three?

Yes.. Love it. But don't think I'd want to pay full price for it. Price is insane.

I'll stick with my Casino Royale watch, already on mesh for that No Time To Die vibe....

    Very cool.

Yeah, I'll stick to my QOS PO42. It just screams DC era to me, while still being a Seamaster and having that Submariner colour scheme at the same time. A perfect blend of all diver bond style watches, IMO. But that blue 300 is really classy, must say.

Imran, how did it read with the domed sapphire? I'd be worried about dinging it up.

It almost looks like plexiglass.. Lol.. But it does pop out slightly higher than usual. Should be fine.

  • This is a watch that i have recently sold because i don't want to spend more money on watch battery replacement. That's the reason i have sold that watch and have bought the new one.

Huh? The watch i posted is an automatic. No batteries.

Plus I think getting a battery replaced is probably cheaper than getting them serviced! :)
