Hope it's not true but just tabloid trash :

An on-set source said: “A stunt double was used for the risky action which will leave fans doubting the spy’s survival in the franchise.

“It’s one of the riskiest moves writers have ever made and will provide a nail-biting ending to the film.

Probably just BS, but if true I'd be unhappy. There's nothing more infuriating to me than an open ended story. It's a writer's job to finish his story. No Lady or the Tiger here please.

Seems like click-baity wording to me. Doesn’t outright confirm that the film ending is ambiguous, just that “it will certainly leave everyone guessing” and a “...a nail-biting ending...” Also it’s The Sun so that’s always a suspicious source to begin with.

I might just be really oblivious, but is Dr No a serious consideration for a villain in this film?
So Blofeld graduated from being thrown down a chimney to being thrown off a bridge. Confirmed PTS then?

    (JK)
Bringing the most powerful Bond villain back for SP after so many decades, only to castrate him into the tiny fa*t he was, was already a big waste. Bringing him back once again in the follow-up film, only to off him in the pts, would be even stranger.

Great stunt! Though it looks similar to SF - also the suit isn't great.

    Is this the same guy?

Stunt performer Dave R Grant, member of British Stunt Register. Worked on Casino Royal and Spectre although those movies not listed on his IMDB-page which is strange. But their included in his showreel named "British Stunt Register", geo-tagged with Pinewood Studios. There's also a beach pic from Jamaica taken in May. And his company Fit for films kept crew members and actors at their physical and mental peak while working on Skyfall.

But according to Ron Milione (behind all the 007 gadgets books) it's Daniel Craig's stunt double Jean-Charles Rousseau (below) in a Tom Ford suit.

I guess some people here would have preferred "No Time Revoked".

Otherwise, the title is adequate. Sure, it has "die" in it, but they hadn't used that word in 18 years, and the problem was that at one point they had overused permutations of "live", "die", and "kill" with...

    A View to a Kill
    The Living Daylights
    Licence to Kill
    (Goldeneye)
    Tomorrow Never Dies
    (The World Is not Enough)
    Die Another Day

I think people overestimate the number of times Die was used as a title. Or kill for that matter. And there's some words that have more chances to be used in a Bond title than others.

Compared to the ones rumored, at least No Time to Die sounds Bondian. Generic? Maybe, but far less than Eclipse, Genoma, Mosaic or whatever people here suggested.

Has there been a movie featuring the word Genoma?

Doesn't make it appropriate for Bond. Genoma can be a good title in its own right but for a spy thriller? I don't see it. It's not even evocative. How about DNA or Molecule while we're at it?

I wasn't suggesting it as a Bond title.

Any time I read "Genoma" I though "Genoa"...

It seems to me that it is obviously Bond in that shot. The double is padded and on wires, so it’s hardly surprising his tie, shirt and jacket aren’t sitting as they should be.

You must not be a fan of Fleming then…..he ‘killed’ Bond at the end of FRWL and (to some extents) at the end of YOLT. These ‘deaths’ were resolved in the inevitable sequels that followed. Fleming loved ambiguous death scenes at the end of his novels. We, the audience, know that Bond will return…..but I’d be down for a ‘death’ finale to end the Craig era.

This suit is ugly though. Not really digging any of the costumes for this film so far. This suit and the ugly shirt-tie combo. It reminds me of this look from SP, though in hindsight…..this image is very cool:

Except the ending to FRWL was resolved in the following novel, but we all know that Craig won't return for B26. So let's not compare apples and oranges.

That's not true. Fleming didn't kill Bond off in either of those books. FRWL was a literal cliffhanger, plus Fleming had already decided to continue with Dr. No before submitting his manuscript to his publishers. Dr. No being his next book in the series. Secondly, Bond doesn't die at the end of YOLT but suffers from a head injury from an explosion, resulting in amnesia and him being nursed back to health by Kissy. The only ambiguous ending is FRWL but as I've already pointed out, Fleming had no intention of killing him off.

What's not 100% sure? Are you incapable of expressing yourself or elaborating beyond facile rejoinders?

Of course it's true. Also, none of us know for sure whether Craig is going to return or not, but if his recent comments are anything to go by then it looks increasingly unlikely. If he were to return then I'd expect another 4-5 year hiatus until he was ready to commit.

We never know with him, do we.

I'm almost certain that he won't be back for another one, but...

it's hardly 'apples and oranges'. You are simply mistaken. Even if Craig were not to return, there is a huge likelihood that the series would continue and Harris/Fiennes/Whishaw would return as well. Craig's 'death' would be confined to the end of his era and there would be a soft reboot with a new Bond.

Bond #7 returning to active service after an injury or coming back to MI6 after they believe him dead. There are 1000sof narrative devices to justify the 'return of Bond' after a supposed death. Just watch 'The Dark Knight Rises' and 'Jason Bourne'.

I can imagine the title being used in this context:

    ECbdCZHX4AEQ6eh?format=jpg&name=large

Or perhaps it'l be more elegiac, with Bond about to die:
    Nomi:
come on James, this is no time to die.

    Bond:
No, it's the perfect time to die
    .

The title is growing on me......it has a kinda 'pulpy' airport paperback feel to it. I just saw 'Once Upon A Time in Hollywood' and NTTD has that feel of old Hollywood pulp. In fact.....going back and using an old Hollywood title from yesteryear is VERY Tarantino......

The connection to this film delights the film geek within me.

No, but it's 99,99999999% sure. Close enough. Especially since Craig will be 56 by the time Bond 26 comes out.

The colors could be coordinated better. A tan suit, blue shirt, red tie, and brown suede shoes could work but this is rather sloppily put together. Not a fan of the moc toe boots for sure. Perhaps it is not Bond.

Sounds similar too how Bond fell off a bridge in SF after being shot and was presumed dead. If it's true it would be quite weak. Still, never say never.
Seems like click bait to get us Bond fans all worked up.

The "CERTAINLY NOT!" scene and the bells you hear after that old lady sniffs some cocaine... also very funny. :D
