Hoping Anna will be Luke Evans’ Layer Cake and they’ll cast him once Craig is done.

He's too old now to be considered, I think (40). Which is a shame, as he'd no doubt be my favourite for the part, by a mile.

For me the biggest revelation in the Malek interview is the word that he did not want to play a terrorist associated with any religion. He has been very clear in the past that he wouldn't take any more roles playing terrorists just because of his ethnic origins. It's something that this YouTuber called him out on when his first big gig post-Oscar was a villain role:

I'm glad that Cary didn't just want to cast Malek as he needed an Arab actor. (Also, if you look at the @MI6 article they omit this portion of the interview which I find very weird!! Check the artile below - they avoid mentioning that quote. Why omit it @MI6??????).

Regardless, Malek is a terrific actor. I liked him as Freddie Mercury, but his best work by a country mile is as Elliot on Mr. Robot.

This was his look on Monday when he gave the interview and should be close to his look in Bond 25:

Rami said that he will look quite a bit different in Bond 25. Maybe even Barry Gower (prosthetic makeup designer) was hired to create new look of Rami Malek character using prosthetics).

What Bond 25 needs is a teaser trailer like Skyfall.
I remember going to the cinema with my girlfriend to go and watch Rock Of Ages (her choice, not mine) and the Skyfall teaser being the first trailer on and I remember the shock and excitement I had.
After the movie we went for something to eat and she was talking all about Rock Of Ages and I was talking about the Skyfall teaser (she was fuming)
Still to this day, I can barely remember a scene in Rock Of Ages because of how amazing the teaser trailer was for Skyfall
I don't think I even watched the final official trailer all the way though because I didn't want nothing spoiled, that's how I want to feel about Bond 25

Yes, it was a brilliant teaser, with the word association leading to some Bondian images and then some quick cut action. Very well done. And the overall cinematography immediately shone through.

Craigs injury will limit his stunts. Dont forget in AVTAK Moore had a stunt man for everything and they made it work. They can make it work here

Bit trickier to conceal in this day and age, but I’m optimistic regardless.

He's a very weird looking dude that's for sure. Kinda reminds me of a hipster Peter Lorre.

I recently saw this photo and it's giving me the creeps. Mainly because he's trying to look nice and presentable but it just seems so unnatural.

    00123ed9-800.jpg

He's such perfect casting for a villain. Bond was lucky to get him early, before every other franchise tries to get him. He'd be a great Joker or Riddler.

I almost think you don't need to get Rami to wear any make-up as he's creepy-looking enough. This video has been doing the rounds on Twitter recently:

BUT.........................I think it's Rami who gets shot by the child and it leaves him with scaring which we can see on the stunt double here:

    11611934-6864111-image-a-36_1553858044396.jpg

If so, I hope it's only very minor and no overwhelming. They kinda did something similar with Waltz's Blofeld.

The SF teaser is one of the very best in the franchise. I'm hoping for the same kind of inventive tone and approach. Being that we're still relatively early in the shoot (assuming they're targeting an August release with Hobbes and Shaw), that might make the most sense.

I think its easier TBH with all the CGI and technology we have today.

Barely lifted a finger is quite an exaggeration, but the quality of the digital replacement in Logan is the gold standard; it’s beautiful work.

Well its been a long wait...only right to have high expectations!

Quite right. And I, for one, am not afraid of those. If it disappoints, so be it. I've a Bond fan long enough to have learned to deal with disappointment. One should not be afraid to set the hope bar way up high. Expectations management is for SW fans. Bond fans are braver than that ;) Besides, I could never learn to lower that particular bar for a Bond film, or I wouldn't appreciate the production process, which I do appreciate, a lot. Even one as infernal as this one has been.
What About this production process is infernal, compared to what we know About Bond productions in General? Some Happenings before production started might have been a bit exotic, but since production started we basically don´t know enough to call the process anything. And especially this Malek interview and Craig´s Video from the other day suggest that the Absence of officially published News does by no means mean the production isn´t steaming ahead.

I was surprised the last couple of days to spot a load of Orlebar Brown bus adverts in London. And then to walk past the shop and see lots of 007 logos.

    https://www.orlebarbrown.com/007.html

I can't believe that a campaign this close to film production is not in some way related to the new movie. Also, such prominent use of the 007 logo is quite unusual.

Well, in the QOS's production, a stunt driver died, Craig had a shoulder injury and a sliced finger, there was a writer's strike and location issues. That was a hellish production.

In this one, from the top, a director left, a writer left, new ones were brought in for a new story, several writers in fact, Craig had an ankle injury, a set blew up in Pinewood, and prior to all of this we had studio wars.

And to tell you the truth, all Bond productions have been hellish in a way or another. Some more than others. I find it natural, so I didn't call it hellish in a demeaning way. It's just business as usual in show business.

For all we know, they're having a blast most of the time. Life, eh?

You're quite right, @Getafix, Aris Comninos was left in a coma after his car collided with a lorry and then crashed into a wall. He suffered a fractured cranium. I have no information of his status nowadays. A brutal day, that was, for the production. According to the IMDB, this was his last film.

I remember Terry Bamber telling me this story in one of his classes. A truly awful day indeed.

I'd always thought the car crashing into the lake and the injured stuntman were the same incident but apparently not.

    https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/stuntman-in-coma-as-bond-curse-strikes-again-815507.html

I can only assume that there are some seriously serious non disclosure clauses for stuntmen and those around them not to talk about what happens in the event of a serious accident/injury like this. Presumably if he has not worked since the injury was pretty catastrophic and the insurance payout would probably have reflected this.

    Tragic.

I remember that day, when this truly tragic event occurred. I live(d) more or less 30 minutes by car from that part of the lake and I know that road very well. It's beautiful but quite dangerous and even before the accident I always thought how difficult would've been to film a car chase in that particular spot. They were filming the scene where the Quantum Alfa Romeo crashed into the truck.

The other car crash was quite insane too, the guy who was driving was able to survive by a miracle. The AM sank into the lake after a 50 meters jump...

A car was driven into a lake during a Transport from one place to another place, it had Nothing to do with film Scenes.
