Universal confirms Archivo 007 that Bond 25 will be released in Spain the 2nd of April 2020.

Nice, Portugal should have the same date, then.

So, is this a good indicator of the production's real status? One hopes so.

Another connection to TLD there, with the police Ladas.

That's a Cuban flag I wonder if somewhere is posing for Cuba.

Aston Martin Valhalla photographed on Bond 25 set

It looks as though The Sun are now writing positive articles on Bond 25. It does seem clear to me that the photo above is from Pinewood as no other pictures of the Valhalla have been sighted of the car in that colour with the proper AM badge indented on the hood. Plus it's in that silver colour that EON love. Id say it's 100% from the set at Pinewood.

I'll need a little convincing on the Valhalla. Aside from it's terrific name, it looks a little sporty to me. Something perhaps a 12 year-old boy would put on his bedroom wall. It doesn't quite have the elegance you'd associate with Bond. But I'm up for a change.

Also, great to see Mark Tildesley and Cary are working well together. His work on Phantom Thread and High-Rise was really good.

Most likely, although could of course be a Cuban Embassy.

I like that it’s something different. The DB5 is a classic of course but I’m ready for something new.

Whilst the Aston Martin Valhalla's role in BOND 25 is purely speculation right now, this bullet catcher got to carpool chat and drive some real Astons with Mr Ben Collins - Daniel Craig and the Bond series stunt driver who has some curious favourite Bond cars and films to share...

THE BOND STEER – SECRET CINEMA & ASTON MARTIN take this bullet catcher to 007th gear

Whatever is on AM's mind, that car doesn't look like an Aston Martin, apart from the grille. It might as well be a McLaren or a Le Mans Prototype car, in any case nothing you would see on the road. I really wonder how this thing will be sensibly included in the script.

Nothing easier than that. It stands around at some facility Bond is visiting. Bond Needs a car. Chase.

The fancier the car the better. That one Looks a bit like a batmobile, but being a Bond car would immediately ground it. That´s what I love so much About Bond films, a lot of stuff can be Comics stuff, but Bond makes it more realistic than any Batman Begins could ever do (and I quite like the latter) :-).

The car is gnarly and the Craig vid is hilarious. He's gonna do another Bond after this, I can feel it!

Maybe Bond and the villain have an F1 style race? :-bd

That's a big call?!!! I can't see it as I predicted this will be his final movie. I would however be happily proven wrong as I love DC's Bond. But? With the delays on this film I just think he has run out of time to do a 6th film. Only if it were back to back films then fair enough. But their is no script.

I would be Content with Bond driving the villain´s car off the villain´s premises and after some thrilling chase total the car as a means to infuriate the villain :-).

    New Rami Malek interview

We’ve already filmed in Norway for a week,” the actor told press, including Digital Spy. “That’s where I got to work with [director] Cary Fukunaga and our incredible cinematographer, Linus Sandgren. They are a great team. So far, so good. So far, so great.”

The Oscar winner managed to find time for 007 during breaks in his gruelling New York schedule. “This has been one of the most difficult seasons of Mr Robot to shoot,” he explained. “But during the hiatuses, or weeks off, I have had the luxury and privilege of going to work on the next James Bond film. It is taxing. I will not lie; it is very, very taxing.”

During Monday night's (June 17) interview, Malek was eager to clarify that a number of rumours about the upcoming Bond movie are untrue; including the notion that the ‘cursed’ movie is in trouble and that key scenes were not going to be able to be shot between Craig and Malek.

“The key scenes is something that was fabricated,” Malek confirmed. “But the thing is, Daniel was injured, so they are shooting what they can. I talked to Cary yesterday and the schedule has been altered. I know that. But with a franchise like this, I think they have it together. They have it figured out by now.”

Whilst the actor remained tight-lipped on the nature of the scenes he’s already filmed for the movie, he admits that Daniel Craig was not present during the Norway shoot for Bond 25. “I haven’t shot with Daniel yet, but I’m thrilled to work with him,” he said.

“Daniel is an actor I greatly admire. Over the years, I think he’s put in such phenomenal performances.

“I found him so captivating in films like Layer Cake and, of course, the Bond films. This is another moment where I find myself pinching myself; not only to work with him, but also a director I’ve wanted to work with for so long in Cary Fukunaga. To be part of this franchise is to be part of history again.”

When quizzed about whether or not Malek felt pressure in playing the latest Bond villain, the 38-year-old declared: “I feel a substantial weight on my shoulders. I mean, Bond is something that we all grow up with. The one thing I have going for me is I played one beloved Brit in Freddie Mercury and I pulled that off, so I feel like I can possibly have a shot at playing the villain in a Bond film.”

Does this mean that Bond’s new foe will be British? “I didn’t say that,” chuckled the actor. “No, the other beloved Brit is Bond and I am obviously not playing him.”

Could the villain reflect Malek’s Egyptian heritage and hail from Egypt? “No, absolutely not,” he declared. “Another thing that I discussed with Cary; I said we cannot identify him with any act of terrorism reflecting an ideology or a religion. That’s not something I would entertain, so if that is why I am your choice then you can count me out. But that was clearly not his vision.”

The name of the Malek’s villain and the title of the upcoming movie is being kept under wraps for now, but the actor did reveal his thoughts on the story of Bond 25: “It’s another extremely clever script from the people who have figured out exactly what people want in those movies. And yeah, it’s a great character. I am very excited. I can’t wait to shoot more soon.”

Goodness, Rami is remarkably well spoken, isn't he? Every response he gives to an interviewer feels clinically calculated in a deliciously Bond villain like manner.

Bonus points for referencing Layer Cake. Discovering Craig in Casino Royale was quite a shock to me, but I would have understood much earlier the potential that Broccoli, Wilson and Campbell found in him if I had watched Layer Cake.

Watched LC right away when he was first rumoured. Understood immediately what they'd seen in him. The walk, the swagger, the voice, the presence, the strangeness of him, the intensity and commitment to the role. Too bad he was blonde, I thought at the time, and I hoped they would dye his hair darker. lol.

Yes @ Univex-- same here. Rented LC and I was like, oh I get it! He's the package. And like you, I thought they'd dye down his hair. After watching LC I was damn excited.

    Then the first trailer dropped...

    (man crush was complete)

I read the script and totally imagined the guy in the role. I was absolutely sold when the first teaser poster came out. Still the best poster of the Craig era. No ideia how I had the script back then, though. But I did and I loved it so much I read it many, many times. Then, the first trailer dropped, as you said, and the rest was History. I forgot he was blonde. That's saying a lot about an actor's ability to sell a role.

Something they should be proud of. And something we're proud to call a good film, not only a good Bond film. Like CR and SF were. And I do appreciate the other two, but they were not so consensual. I want a final entry to the Craig era that'll make us all proud to be Bond fans.

    Wanting too much, aren't I?

James Bond fandom aside, I love CF as a story-teller and I have immense faith in his talent (and I loved his sarc reply against the "news" reported about his set; obviously he took this personally! It's his set. He runs it. And some asshole says he's late because he's playing videogames?!?!?! That's nauseating and, quite frankly, pathetic.

I notice the Sun has changed their tune with songs of positivity, and, one day later, no longer mentioning videogame-gate. They should be ashamed of themselves, but, unfortunately, the Devil is too vain to notice that his reflection is dull, bovine in stupidity and ugly, poisoned by the lies it wants to spread...

Quite right. And I, for one, am not afraid of those. If it disappoints, so be it. I've a Bond fan long enough to have learned to deal with disappointment. One should not be afraid to set the hope bar way up high. Expectations management is for SW fans. Bond fans are braver than that ;) Besides, I could never learn to lower that particular bar for a Bond film, or I wouldn't appreciate the production process, which I do appreciate, a lot. Even one as infernal as this one has been.

Hoping Anna will be Luke Evans’ Layer Cake and they’ll cast him once Craig is done.
