    @CraigMooreOHMSS

First critics reactions for Bumblebee, with the proper reviews embargo ending tonight:

#Bumblebee is the best #Transformers movie and my favorite, too. Hailee Steinfeld elevates every scene she’s in, and the older look of the robots makes it easier to follow and enjoy the action.

#Bumblebee is the best Transformers movie - BY FAR. Beautifully shot, tons of spot-on humor and absolutely brimming with heart. No surprise here but Hailee Steinfeld is fantastic. The whole thing is just an utter delight!

#Bumblebee is TOTALLY an 80s movie in the BEST way possible. Has major Spielberg and John Hughes vibes. There's like 4 running Breakfast Club gags and @HaileeSteinfeld (who is great) spends half the movie trying to make Bumblebee appreciate The Smiths. Holy crap I loved that.

#BUMBLEBEE is one of the better films in the Transformer series. It keeps intelligent, capable female-forward characters with their own agency (not motivated by men) at the forefront of the narrative, along with genuine heart. Killer soundtrack to boot.

Wow! #Bumblebee is an absolute delight! @HaileeSteinfeld is wonderful. So many fun throwbacks to films like ET, Duel and other great 80s family films. My daughter and nephews (ages 13, 11, 7) are absolutely giddy right now and we can't wait to see it again.

Man!! I think I reverted back to being a kid watching @bumblebeemovie. Just from the opening scene had my jaw on the floor and it gets better from there. This movie did not disappoint. @JohnCena and @HaileeSteinfeld did an amazing job! #transformers #bumblebee

Man, BUMBLEBEE: I kinda loved it. I honestly can’t believe I’m saying that! Also, for anyone who has wanted to see Gen 1 designs in a movie, the first five minutes is Transformers porn.

Amanda Idoko (TV’s “The Mayor,” “Breaking News in Yuba County”) has been hired to pen the script for the comedic action-adventure feature “Plastic Man,” based on the DC Comics hero, for Warner Bros. Pictures.

The story follows Patrick ‘Eel’ O’Brian, a crook-turned-good guy who was part of a gang, and during a botched heist is shot and doused with a chemical liquid.

Left for dead by the gang, he awakens to find himself imbued with the power to shape-shift and stretch his body into almost anything thanks to being the most malleable man alive. O’Brian eventually reforms and becomes a police officer.

The character had his own cartoon series at one point. No writer or director is yet attached but the tone will reportedly retain the light, silly style of the character. Bob Shaye will executive produce.

Some sugestions: Bradley Cooper, Vincent Kartheiser.

Great news. Always wanted a Plastic Man movie. Hope they get it right.

Seems like removing Michael Bay from the Transformers franchise was the way forward:

This is great to see. I'm seeing a preview on Tuesday and I think this is the first time I've felt genuine excitement for one of these films since 2007! Thanks @DaltonCraig007

Spinoff. It exists in the same continuity as the previous films.

I wasn't the most optimistic about this after it had so many cast/crew changes, but damn, it looks really good:

This is looking much better than I thought it would be. It's dark and massive in scale.

Looking forward to Linklater's next - I've not heard of it until now. I still need to see Boyhood, can't believe I've yet to.

This looks interesting. Cate means I'm probably in unless it's too melodramatic.

'Atomic Blonde' has some strong competition with this new revenge action flick from Vietnam, Furie:

I'm liking this. It's intriguing and the script seems innovative.

It looks like I'm going to be able to get my fix of Vera next year, after a long drought.

Nicolas Cage's next film, Prisoners of Ghostland, the debut English language film of Japanese director Sion Sono, is starting to take form.

From the words of Nick Cage himself, 'I wear a skintight black leather jumpsuit with grenades attached to different body parts, and if I don’t rescue the governor’s daughter from this state line where they’re all ghosts and bring her back they’re gonna blow me up.'
