I think DC will want to go out with a bang, including a title song by one of his favourites. If Radiohead could be convinced to have another go at it, then they would be most likely. If not, I could see Arctic Monkeys or possibly even Liam or Noel Gallagher. Either way, I definitely think we're in for more of a rock-orientated LALD-type tune.

Me too. If they go edgy, then I could see Arctic Monkeys. But if they want more commercial viability, they'd go with Coldplay.

Sam Smith was horrific enough but Chris f:@king Martin please no, expecially as Bond 25 looks like it's going to be a cracker.

Can we have one more great theme tune to end out Craig's time, then at least he'd be bookend with great themes.

YKMN is by far the standout of the era, I'd love Radiohead again but I think that boat sailed after their theme which was the original commision for SP was rejected.

The Arctic's for me, all the way, let Alex Tuner work his magic on Bond 25.

Unlike Chris Martin who is the biggest Bono/Thom Yorke wannabe out there without an original bone in his body as well as that combo he's lead singer of.

Alex Turner pretty much leaves the likes of Martin & Noel Gallagher in the shade when it comes to song writing.

The Arctic Monkeys are the band that Noel wishes Oasis was and they fufilled the promise that Gallagher's overated former band never could.

Never liked Coldplay. A few songs aside, there's nothing interesting to be found. Oasis is a mixed bag for me; actually prefer Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Arctic Monkeys on the other hand, I've listened to since their debut album came - and I love the evolution of their music. Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino is probably a more polarising album though, as it's a step away from the more guitar-heavy AM.

Remember, I am not advicating for Coldplay, though I like a lot of their early stuff. I am just saying that if EON wanted a British band with more worldwide marketability, then it’s Coldplay. First and foremost. But EON has shown that they can be edgy and experimental, too. Something tells me that Bond25 will have more of that edge.

If right now I could have 3 artists submit songs from which I was to choose, they would be, in no particular order.

    Lady Gaga
    Arctic Monkeys
A reunited Oasis with music and lyrics by Noel and Liam on lead vocal.

At first, I didn't care for TBH&C at all. I tend to like concept albums but this one didn't work for me. But I kept listening to it, and now I love it.

It's definitely an album that needs a second or third listening to come good. I like these sorts of album now and then, as these albums tend to be albums that stick more with me than those albums where you'd go "this is great!" the first time around – only for them to not feel so great over time.

Same with a lot of the music of Queens of the Stone Age; some of their least "accessible" albums are my favourites.

Strange that TBHAC was pretty instant for me and it got better.

Sometimes those that grow on you are the best ones although if they instantly hook you and get better like Tranquility Base then just as good.

Off to see Mark Lanegan and Duke Garwood tonight at Leeds City Varieties.

Very true. TBH&C had a few tracks that got me hooked straight away, but also a few that needed a few repeats. "Star Treatment" is one of those songs.

Enjoy the show! Wish I could see Mark Lanegan and Duke Garwood live too!

I've always liked Morcheeba and am open to a bit of acid jazz electronica if done well.

The recent Jaguar F-Pace ad, which plays to LookLA's The King is Dead, gave me Bondian vibes, but with a modern twist.

On the whole "Alex Turner" note, there's a couple songs by his side project, "The Last Shadow Puppets" that would work fantastically in a Bond film.

Dracula Teeth: (has the same bpm as License to Kill)

    In My Room:

My Mistakes Were Made for You:

I hope neither contribute to any sort of Bond music.

Rihanna set the trend for what has become nonsensical chant of vowels in the form of vocal melody in today's pop music that I heartily despise (a mock-up example of that bandwagon is Dua Lipa), and Arianna Grande is too immature to even associate with the Bond franchise. But, list Beyonce in the role, she'll deliver a bang up job.

...That is... the old Beyonce, if she decides to harken back to her musical roots.

Hate to break it to you @jake24 but the UK is so sophomoric nowadays, our chart is identical to the US. Only exception is Little Mix and Dua Lipa, the rest are the same as above.

For the record, I'm not adverse to Last Shadow Puppets, Miles Kane and Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner doing the next Bond song, I just think they'll plump for a big international name to sell their movie, is all.

I think they should consider giving Florence Welch a call. She has a haunting voice that's perfectly suited to Bond. When she starts belting it out on the chorus of this track it's got OO7 written all over it.

She could create a modern signature song up there with GF, LALD, NBDIB or YKMN.

Good call on Welch. Although I can't imagine they'd go for her now, given she's not as relevant as she used to be.

How relevant was Chris Cornell when he did YKMN?
Craig came in with s roar, he needs to go out with one . We’ve had two ballads, it time to to inject some vibrancy into the cinematography and the title track.

It’s appropriate that I’m going to be a broken record discussing music.
If at this moment I was told that I had to pick a female performer for the title track, without hesitation I would pick Lady Gaga.

Now I like a lot of her music but wouldn’t call myself a fan; my taste leans more toward Lana Del Rey, but Gaga has reached a status of Icon. Even if out of the public eye there’s an interest in her. Wisely, she’s broadened her musical spectrum to a point of where she’s known by people of every age. My nearly ninety year old aunt likes Lady Gaga!

Musically, Gaga is as cutting edge as anyone in music while able to hold her own with the greats such as Tony Bennett. I think she could bring a freshness, vitalityand energy to the track while vocally carrying on the legacy started by Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Carly Simon and others.

There are no sure things, but she’s close.
