Is Mads going to torture Indy by hitting his balls with his own whip?

Mads for Bond26 villain! Again, yes, why not? He's really so cool and menacing.

That’s actually not a bad idea. Numerous actors have played different characters in the Bond series, in the past. Charles Gray, Maud Adams , George Baker and Joe Don Baker to name a few.
I see no reason why Mads couldn’t come back as a villain again. Especially opposite a new Bond actor.

A couple more nice shots of Indy; I like the second one.

Oh, I absolutely agree to his return. And you're right, there are precedents in the series.

Looking great! Now that No Time to Die has finally released, Indy 5 is the movie I'm most looking forward to. Wonder if we will get a teaser before the end of the year?

Time machine ? Really ? If Indy did not already jump the shark in IJATKOTCS (what a ridiculously long title) then it sure seems he's about to do so in this next one...or...did it already come out ? That's the darn thing with time travel films.

    We don't know.

A time machine may be a possibility, but it’s more likely that we will see a story that unfolds in different time periods, Ancient Greece, WW2 and finally late 60’s. Time travel seems a bit of a stretch, but you never know.
  • Is it though? No more of a stretch than 'God' melting Nazi faces. X_X

Different timeframes within the story - fine. Time travel ? Ugh. Hoping for the former.

If the rumors about moon rockets and time travel are true, I'm hoping the finished film won't remind me too much of Men in Black 3, which also had both things.

Or, so did Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. Both films (and possibly Indy 5) are set in 1969!

Good catch! Indy 5 better distinguish itself from these other movies.

We need a scene in which Harrison Ford, Will Smith, Josh Brolin, and Mike Meyers are digitally inserted into footage from OHMSS.

I wouldn’t know how I feel about a time travel plot until I see it, but at least it wouldn’t be another retread of the Raiders plot, which is the main thing to me.

    Indiana Jones isn’t science fiction.

It's certainly fantasy, and there's a very slight sci-fi edge in there. The Nazis never had a flying wing as we see in Raiders.

I'm a bit tired of fans saying that something will definitely be bad without seeing it. Remember all of the gnashing of teeth over Nomi? How she was definitely going to be awful, replace Bond as the main character and that you can't possibly have anyone else be 007? How did that turn out?
(And we've already had to deal with an almost-identical 'Waller-Bridge to replace Indy' load of rubbish, anyone spot a pattern in these hoaxers?)

it was a poor joke that was told for shock value more times then it could be conceivably be funny but that is my opinion

She does, that's a spot-on outfit. And Indy with a parachute, what's not to love.

Unless we see them in the same shot as the other actors it's hard to know what's going on exactly.

I can’t believe this is real. Or literally time travel. If so I’m afraid I’m not interested. Crystal skull got a chance. This won’t

It doesn’t work within the confines of the Indiana Jones world.

Imagine if Frodo just got in a spaceship at the end of Fellowship of the ring, or Gandalf magicked up a time machine to go back and stop sauron getting the ring.

Same here. They could be filming separate sequences with different units. There could be a bit of misdirection going on , or, the media are jumping to conclusions.

Yeah, I guess it looks like the pap took the photos at the same time/from the same position (are the Greeks what Indy is reacting to?) but we don't know for sure, and it's hard to be certain it's the same scene. Likewise it could be a load of people re-enacting a battle, or some sort of weird lost tribe, or even just a movie set that Indy has parachuted into.
Time travel looks the safest bet, but I guess it remains to be confirmed.

If they're going with time travel this is going to be an even bigger groaner than IJATKOTCS (that ridiculously long title again !). A bit of the fantastic has served well, but Sci-Fi ? Time travel, of all Sci-Fi, has such problems with paradoxes...oh, I've got a bad feeling about this...
  • Maybe they just stumbled onto a film set, Spartacus ? :P
  • In my opinion this already looks much more fun than NTTD ever did.
