    The CR teaser and the QoS theatrical trailer are both top drawer.

    I totally see your point. Trailers spoil pretty much everything. They did in the past (just look at the trailer for Dr No) and they do it nowadays (ugh, Terminator Genesys). So I can't blame you if you're not going to watch it (in fact, I envy you because you're stronger than me! :D)

    I, on the other hand, don't really care since I watch Bond movies hundreds of times anyway; I know them by heart and I still enjoy them. Moreover, Bond movies rarely have huge twists and all of them follow the same formula.
    I usually hate spoilers about tv shows or casual movies if I know I'm going to watch them once or twice at max, though.

    I'm right there with you. I suppose there's a fine line, though; it's not as severe if you watch a trailer once and never again, but I've been known to watch some dozens, if not hundreds of times, to the point that I've pieced together so much that one single casual viewing wouldn't have offered.

    That is the benchmark for teaser trailers as far as I'm concerned.

    Agreed. I don't know about my favourite combo, I love SPECTRE trailer for using the OHMSS theme, but I felt that the footage indulged too much on the plot and little on the theme and general mood of the movie; granted, it revealed nothing about Blofeld's plan, but still we were shown Bond's trail (Bond blows up a palace in Mexico, that leads him to the Pale King, who leads him to Madeleine, who leads him to Blofeld).

    QoS and Skyfall had pretty good trailers; the former set up the movie as a revenge story pretty well, but the trailer and the teaser were not that different so I don't feel like calling QoS' the best teaser/trailer combo. Skyfall's teaser revealed pretty much nothing, which was good, though the word association dialogue teased an introspective movie and never showed Silva, which again was a clever move IMO. The trailer also showed little of the plot and more about the villain. Both also had great music tracks.

    I'm not too fond of CR trailer music, mostly because Activision released like 10 trailers for the GoldenEye remake and 35 trailers for 007 Legends in 2011 and 2012 and they all had the same forking music from the CR trailer music, therefore I absolutely loathe it. Apart from that, the trailer again was pretty good; it revealed a generic synopsis of the movie and also announced that the movie woudl be more introspective than previous Bond movies.

    I think Skyfall wins, but they all were good trailers.

    I wouldn't have guessed that my birthday, October 5th, would have become such a pivotal date in Bond history :-P.

    The SF teaser was amazing, and for me the final product lived up to it. A particular high point of being a Bond fan for me (the day the teaser came out through the film's release + 50th anniversary fun). "Some men are coming to kill us. We're going to kill them first." Still love the line and delivery from Craig.

    The last trailer I liked was the SF teaser. I absolutely agree with you, @FoxRox.

    Hated both SP trailers. And I didn't like the SF trailer, either.

    CR is still the best teaser but overall I have watched all James bond trailers of the past (can't help) and I think GoldenEye has the best trailer of all, how to not reveal much at the same giving audience a bit of excitement for what's about to come.

    After SP leak and current trend of hiding (GOT/Avengers/Star wars) as much as possible and what we have seen so for from the production rest assured that teaser or trailer isn't going to reveal much and I am glad they have return to all the secrecy.

    Agreed. GoldenEye is not only one of the best Bond teaser trailers, it's one of the best teaser trailers overall. Cracking stuff.

    It would have to be Casino Royale for me. By far DC's best turn as 007 for me.

    What's the latest a first trailer has ever been released in relation to the release date? We're 7 months away so there is still quite a bit of time.

    Everyone in the production who I've spoken to and overheard talking about it has really raved about the teaser. There is apparently one in particular big 'wow' moment in this one too.

    I don't know if that will be featured in it yet as it was filmed fairly recently and they still need to do close-ups of Daniel and the villains for that scene in Gravina plus do the cgi mapping for his face. I think the trailer will mainly be Jamaica and Norway scenes and Pinewood scenes (Jamaica, Norway, Cuba, Italy, London) personally.

    Yeah, per the MI6-HQ guys it's been finished for a couple weeks so none of the Matera stuff could realistically be in it anyway.

    Surely, then it will be released in the next 1 or 2 weeks, right? If they didn't plan on releasing it very soon, then they would have finished it later and would have included at least some of the Matera stuff.

    Yeah exactly. I'm guessing at the moment it's just being localised (dubs/translations etc) by the various international Universal affiliates.
