    I can understand that people feel sorry for her but I am sure she's getting as much support if not more than the hate.
    She's probably already hailed as some feminist icon in some circles lol.

    Needless to say this whole thing has been completely blown out of proportion and I can't wait till everything dies down again.

    I don't feel sorry for her in the least.

    If anything I'm happy for her and a bit envious.

    While she's on the set starring in an official Eon James Bond movie, I'm sitting here on my laptop posting about Bond on a Bond fan site while I have CR or whatever Bond I'm in the mood for playing in the background.

    At the moment I'm getting real excited for this film. I just hope they announce a great title in the near future!

    It is surprising just how actually stupid these people are, isn't it? I wasn't expecting such a level of moron that they can't even read a whole paragraph.

    I went back and carefully realized. People aren't getting it she isn't leading the franchise for the future this is a one film deal and will have no connection to the future EON better start educating before this goes wacko. People have to treat the film as this is within Craig's arc only. Just like Casino to the classic era.

    I'm pretty sure EoN will clarify this in the trailer, maybe even introduce her as Bond's temporary replacement already.
    And after that happens, this whole episode will be seen as great marketing lol.

    Yeah you may have a point; I'm wondering if they might step in now you mention it. It does seem to be going a bit horrible now, and although they say no publicity is bad publicity, stuff like that big rage around around Captain Marvel was equally moronic but did leave a bit of a bad atmosphere around the film.

    Odd how all of these Bond fans have suddenly appeared on Twitter and YouTube, isn't it? How come they haven't been on places like here... ;)

    Do they HONESTLY think that 007 will be a woman permanently ?!
    That 57 years of cinematic history would be wiped out or ignored ?!
    That one of cinemas best loved and most successful characters would be usurped by a woman,just like that ?

    The level of common sense and education astounds me.

    Some people I know personally are sharing these articles on their Facebook pages commenting things like: " I can't wait! I'm shrieking with joy!".
    Granted these individuals really wouldn't be able to describe which film FOR YOUR EYES ONLY was without looking it up on Google. So their knowledge of Bond is pretty much limited to the Craig era, and possibly a Brosnan or two.

    Yes. The average person seems to now be assuming Lashana has indeed been cast to take over as 007 in the franchise. Craig's Bond passes the torch to her in the new film while he rides off into the sunset.

    EON need to hand out free 007 pamphlets to educate the people what they are doing in this era or the normal audience is going to be really lost doesn't help EON doesn't have the greatest PR department.

    This whole thing would have been dead in a microsecond if someone would have bothered to quote Barbara Broccoli herself saying a couple month ago "JAMES BOND WILL NOT BE A WOMAN"(also pretty much confirming that she's obviously not selling the franchise, just as a Bonus)

    But nope... let's all freak out... so much more fun.
