Waldo? Who was responsible for assigning such a terrible name? I thought of “Where’s Waldo?” as soon as I first saw this name.

Yes, the hair is looking longer than in Matera. More evidence of a time jump between Matera and the rest of the film.

To @RC7 ‘s point about cars, I agree. With the older films there was not just a variety of cars shown, but the way they were used made them memorable and gave them character. The 2CV or the Renault 11 TXE for instance. If they had simply been used for establishing shots or point A to point B driving, like the Volvo that was mentioned, they wouldn’t be anywhere near as memorable. The unique chases they featured in gave them character and made them stick in your mind. On the other hand, I had no memory of a Volvo ever appearing in a Bond movie, which should’ve stuck out to me as the proud owner of an S70. I’d love to see another inventive chase with a more normal car again. That said, I’m always happy to see the DB5.

I'm probably late to the party but the masked man in Norway, isn't that Dali Benssalah?

Just saw his casting picture up close.

I think it's a flashback scene with young madeline and masked man is blofeld himself. That is why he is masked.
There is a scene in spectre where blofeld tells madeline that i came to your home once and she says she doesn't remember it. Now she doesn't remember because blofeld was masked. Also if you look closely, that man looks like waltz.

Well, I'm not that late to the party. Know all about the theory. But I don't think he looks like Waltz or even a young Waltz (going by a pot. flashback scene). This guy is also too tall.

That's why I reacted to Dali's pic versus all behind-scenes pics of the unmasked man. I got several of those.

With all due respect, he does not look like Waltz at all. Maybe it's Malek in disguise...

If I'm not mistaken, there were some pictures of the actor unmasked (in between takes), and it appeared to be Sebastien Soudais, Rami Malek's stunt double. So my best guess is that the masked man is Malek, as he himself has said he was in Norway for filming. Not that we've seen anything of that.

Opening 12 min in norway, then 18 min in matera. So around 30-35 min mark, we will be in jamaica where bond will start in journey in NTTD

Look at the nose and ear. Same guy - Sebastien Soudais, Rami Malek's stunt double?

Already confirmed to be him aka Rami’s character.

His double posted photos on his Instagram story in Norway while they were filming.

So looking pretty unlikely to be a flashback unless Bond and Rami never meet?

That would also mean that the girl is not young madeline...

Naomie even said during an interview that the film is set five years later, so Bond and Madeleine could not have a child the age of the girl in Norway, plus I still think Malek’s stuntman could also be playing a relative of Malek’s character. Why hire a new actor for a masked action role? When you could just get the stuntman who looks like the person you want them to be related to. It doesn’t mean he’s not Malek’s stuntman, he could just be being utilised for other things. As for Malek filming in Norway, where’s the confirmation for that?

If I'm not mistaken Malek said the filmed scenes in Norway, but probably he meant that those scenes were set in Norway.

Here's a quote. Might be more than just this, but this is what I found right now:

“We’ve already filmed in Norway for a week,” the actor told press, including Digital Spy. “That’s where I got to work with [director] Cary Fukunaga and our incredible cinematographer, Linus Sandgren. They are a great team. So far, so good. So far, so great.”

Hmmm, have we considered that our villain has used these dangerous technologies to keep himself young? Might explain why he can be in a Norway flashback, be the main villain in present and look the same. A clone? I don't know, I just don't think it's as simple as Malek's character just being there when Madeleine was a child. It would be so disorientating.

Isn't it more plausible that it's just not a flashback?

I mean anything's possible, but I still think it will be a flashback.

That would also mean that the girl is not young madeline...

A Bond fan messaged the girl listed on IMDB as “young Madeleine Swann stunt double”

She confirmed she’s playing the girl on the lake...

She also shot underwater scenes at pinewood.

Posted on her instagram story lol.

I really do believe Malek is using some science to stay young..

110% Malek and young Swann in the opening and it’s definitely confirmed.

Of course people don’t believe IMDB or the photos or her stunt double saying she’s young Swann (she’s 20) but that’s common.

@CASINOROYALE It makes sense. You can't be younger than 18 to be a stuntperson I believe.
