Why does Google say NTTD is 2hrs 54min long? Do we know where it gets its info from?

I asked the same thing here last week or so. Still waiting..

I thought it’s been known for a while that it was pretty long.

I have a question. We actually don't know if Nomi takes over code number 007 while Bond is gone, right? Only vague hinting back and forth by Lashana in interviews and in trailers with Bond saying something like "are you an double O?"

Then I came to think of Spectre. I don't remember the scene but some character mentioned briefly that 009 is an active agent but didn't reveal who that might be.

Could she be 009 after all?

I know it was used in Octopussy when that agent (stuntman Andy Bradford) gets killed by the knife-throwing twin assassins Mischka and Grishka.

The floor is now open for debate..

    Yes, 2 H 43 min, not 2 54 all of a sudden

She says she's been a Double-O for only two years though.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the runtime changed… how could that much time go by without tinkering with the final edit? (I know this contradicts what Fukunaga said, but I’m doubting they just left everything as is for a year and a half).

Unlikely. Cary has moved on to other things. Eon would be reluctant to sink more money into this film.

The scene in question is Q explaining to Bond that the DB10 was originally meant for him, but had been reassigned to 009. There’s another scene that takes place the following morning between Q and one of his assistants and I believe they refer to 009 as he or him, but I could be wrong about that.

    Ok. Thanks.

Guys google is frequently incorrect on running times. Try checking it for other films. I remember when Spectre came out google said it was 2:35. The correct running time for NTTD is still 2:43

Maybe a track from Zimmer's score is next.

Oh man, that's right. If the podcast starts up again and marketing intensifies, we'll get teasers of his score.

Yeah. Zimmer & Marr will BONDIFY our ears soon :)>-

    Cannot. Wait.

    Absolutely :)

I am still giddy over the fact that Johnny Marr is on this soundtrack.

Yeah pretty sure Google has had that incorrect runtime for NTTD for a while now. 163 mins is the correct one indeed.

Yeah I think I have a memory of us being here before. I’m curious where they get it from.

Yeah. Marr's inclusion is golden. And the thought that it's going to be guitar-laden score makes me giddy as well :)

Apparently NTTD to be released in Australia in September now. Previous date was 8th October.

That's interesting as they're in lockdown in some places at the moment.

Will be coming out of a 1 week lockdown here in South Australia at midnight. This is only the second lockdown we've had. The previous one was to be a week as well, but lasted three days. New South Wales has copped it pretty hard.

No lockdown here in Perth...Western Australia, for those unaware where Perth is.
Conveniently, I'm on annual leave from the 28/09.

You're Australian too? Happy to see another Australian here!

Now let us be smug about our release date together ::D

So good to see some Australians on here! I'm Bathurst in New South Wales!
I haven't been on here for ages but I've been following from afar. That spot has got me hyped again not that I needed to be 🤣. I love that they didn't even need to use new footage. Just a nice reminder to the general public that there is a Bond movie coming!

Nice! Not sure I knew that. There are quite a few Aussie fans here.

Well, I saw all four Craig Bond films at the cinema earlier this year. How's that for a start. If NTTD releases this year, that'll be a record five.

The Australian release date has been September, since it was bumped up in the UK.

Not looking good for those of us in NSW, unfortunately :(

Still can't get used to a lot of the fashion in this film. Craig buttoning the two top buttons looks ridiculous and almost feels like he had to do that because his stunt double did it by accident while doing earlier second unit stunts on the bike and then Craig had to do the same to keep the continuity straight.

I think that buttoning style also makes it look like the jacket is too small for him. Maybe Madeline bought it for him as a birthday gift, and unlike Vesper didn't have the expert skill of sizing him up on sight?

The script supervisor is responsible for the continuity on set/filming a scene. And the on set-dressers are doing their thing checking the actor, stuntman, extras between every camera setup/angle (camera blocking), usually comparing a photo from the previous scene.

Every on set-department has the same co-responsbility. Hair & Make-up, prop master(s)/set dressers etc.

I just wish, even for a few seconds, we got Craig in the full commander naval uniform. I dont think we’ll get it now, the commando outfit is probably closest.
