    AVTAK over DAF pretty easily for me.

    DAF vs AVTAK - neither are top drawer entries as far as I'm concerned. However, Connery's last official film is buoyed by a cool performance (despite weight, bad toupee and poor eyebrow trims), a slightly noirish and yet trashy style, and great dialogue. AVTAK in contrast suffers from rather predictable Glen direction and a certain tiredness throughout. Although Moore is typically excellent, he is clearly past it here.

    YOLT vs TLD - this is a much tougher call. Both are first class in the earlier parts and collapse for me during the later sections. I'm not keen on the leading ladies or villains in both films either (yes, I realize who one of them is). Dalton is excellent in his debut and there is a certain classic style to the first half of TLD. Still, Connery at 60% is still better in my view, and YOLT is an incredibly ambitious film for its time with great visual style. So it gets my vote.

    I love AVTAK, even though it's at the lower end of my rankings. But DAF on the other hand is also in the lower region too. However it is just too much fun.

    YOLT may have grown on me massively in the past few years, however TLD has been one of my favourites since I first saw it in '87. A relatively easy win for Dalton's debut.

    DAF. While it’s Connery’s worst outing as 007, the dialog is witty and fun (plus it has Jill St. John in a bikini!)
    YOLT. A close call, but YOLT is iconic (Sorry Maryam d’Abo).
