I am shocked that TLD is as popular as GF.

I'm not. A movie where Bond is a prisoner for 50% of the movie and only wins because he forced a woman to kiss and change her mind in seconds is much weaker than TLD. Only my opinion of course and I will always enjoy GF for its great characters and first half.

I'm delighted with that one! In fact, apart from GE
too high, its quite a fair list in my eyes!

Thanks @Thunderfinger! This has been fun!

A fine top 10 with a fantastic winner!

Quite happy to see LTK tick off with a positive tally. Thrilled that TLD and OP remain fan favourites too. Also relieved that TND scores better than I had expected.

Next time, we should do a similar thread with the actors. That wouldn t take so long. Only 15 matches.

Thank you very much, @Thunderfinger. This was a lot of fun! If I'm not mistaken, I haven't missed a round. Another round was always something to look forward to. Excellent thread, this. I will miss it! And I truly hope something else will take its place soon to continue its legacy. I'm also pleased with the results. In summary, thanks, Thundy! You're a legend, mate!

You re much too kind, but I think I will start up one for the actors right away. It will be a real quickie.

I wonder if Bond Theme would be a fun one? Long lasting, but maybe different enough from Bond Films to be interesting?

Based on all the comments I’ve seen around here regarding TLD and GF, I’m not surprised at all the former is as popular. I like TLD a lot, but for me GF is still clearly the more well-rounded, consistent Bond film, especially when it comes to the third act and villains departments.

I am glad OHMSS won the whole thing.

Still, very nice to see that all Bonds are represented in the top ten.

Agreed. OHMSS is a true classic. Hard to argue with the top 3 selection of OHMSS, FRWL, and CR.

Those have been the top three for a long time, only the inner ranking among them has been an excitement factor whenever we have done one game or another.

    Your verdict:

01 ON HER MAJESTY S SECRET SERVICE (23)
02 FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE (22)
    03 CASINO ROYALE (21)
04 DR. NO/THE SPY WHO LOVED ME (16)
    06 GOLDFINGER/THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS (12)
    08 THUNDERBALL/GOLDENEYE (11)
    10 OCTOPUSSY

008 of my top 0010 are here(different order). I'd only replace TSWLM and GE with MR and YOLT.

Indeed. I love both TLD and GF but I'm glad to see my favorite post-1960s film tied with such a beloved 007 classic.

Good to see On Her Majesty's Secret Service taking home the title! Thanks for hosting, @Thunderfinger.
  • Thanks once again @Thunderfinger for hosting this tournament. Can't make any arguments, other than the #1 spot, but it's a fine victory!

A hearty round of applause for @Thunderfinger for hosting this monumental thread. =D> ^:)^
Been a lot of fun. Some surprising results in the end, OP making the top ten puts a smile on my face. :)
And a worthy winner in OHMSS.
    Cheers Thundy, that was fun.

    There were five unanimous verdicts:

    FRWL over QOS
    OHMSS over DAF
    TSWLM over DAD
    GF over NSNA
    FRWL over FYEO

Happy to read that TB, YOLT, MR, OP and TLD were never shut out.
