Rhys-Davies as Pushkin is fantastic. I know Gotell as Gogol was suppose to originally play the role, and I'm sure that would have been great, but I would have missed Pushkin.

Pretty disturbing scene that belongs more in a Lethal Weapon movie. I love it!!!!
I've seen this uncut version so many times now I forget what was in place of the stump shot. I may have to track down an old copy of the SE edition.

Yeah. I love Tim, but also the angle of that shot of him holding Della where he's emoting..... it seems the camera's directly focused on Tim's thinning spot. It's not a flattering shot of him.
I love it- Sharkey, Tim kicking Killifer's as$. Great stuff here.
I must say, the blu-ray looks amazing. Almost too good for this particular film.
In the cinema this scene was far more dirty looking and grainy. Most of LICENCE, in fact looked like a Chuck Norris or Charles Bronson Cannon Film. The Blu-ray ups the color timing considerably, although a bit unfaithfully. The only glamorous shots to evoke the classic Bond cinematography were in the casino. Vivid colors and contrasts there. Lupe's red dress really popped out.
One of my favorite sections of this one. Tim looks intense with the knife in hand.
One of my favorite, immediate payback moments in the series. Brutal way to go, too.

In the cinema the audience cheered loudly here. I remember it as if it were yesterday.
Interesting considering, the Moore era had only been four years previously and the audience would laugh at his one liners and cheer at the stunt sequences.
I suppose maybe it has to do with the fact the stunts here are real (aside from a few shots of questionable back projection).
Perhaps today's audiences aren't as vocal? I sat the QOS 5 times in the cinema and not one cheer each screening.

Construction of this set obviously would have been done at Churubusco Studios. The red leather door, which later became a brown leather door is now blue.
Considering all the crap Tim gets for his hair in this section. I just now discovered, it could have been a lot worse. Just look at the guy who guides Bond and Pam into the casino.
