Same rules as ever, you can add one point and subtract two. Each member may vote once per day, according to their time zone. I guess there are several ways to approach it. You can average your rankings for each decade or you can just go with a gut feeling. Anything goes.

Though it's hardly seems necessary, here are the films included in each decade:

1960s - DR. NO (1962), FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE (1963), GOLDFINGER (1964), THUNDERBALL (1965), YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE (1967), ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE (1969)

1970s - DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER (1971), LIVE AND LET DIE (1973), THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN (1974), THE SPY WHO LOVED ME (1977), MOONRAKER (1979)

1980s - FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (1981), OCTOPUSSY (1983), A VIEW TO A KILL (1985), THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS (1987), LICENCE TO KILL (1989)

1990s - GOLDENEYE (1995), TOMORROW NEVER DIES (1997), THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH (1999)

2000s - DIE ANOTHER DAY (2002), CASINO ROYALE (2006), QUANTUM OF SOLACE (2008)

I'm not including the 2010s, as we only have one film at this point. I think we should wait until 2020 before we play this one again and can include the full decade with SKYFALL, SPECTRE, BOND 25 and, hopefully, BOND 26.

1. 1960s - 40
2. 1970s - 40
3. 1980s - 40
4. 1990s - 40
5. 2000s - 40

I'll leave it to someone else to start us off.

Thanks for starting this one @Birdleson. This might have an interesting result, especially when you factor the age range of many of our members. Let the mayhem begin!

This is going to be better than I thought. Though "decades" may very well be a proxy for "favorite actor".

You're probably right, but I hope you're not. Especially when you look at the 70s/90s, Roger is a lot more beloved around here than Pierce. The 70s has a definitive top 10 and 3 consensus bottom dwellers whereas the 90s has a consensus top 10 and 2 bottom 10s.

I think some Brozzers have to crawl out of the woodwork! :))

Unless you're counting the 4 years of anxiety, when it looked like we might not get another Bond movie, I can't fathom why anyone would vote for the 70's over the 90's. The 70's had to contend with Diamonds are Forever, The Man With the Golden Gun, and Moonraker. Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough have their issues, but I can't see how they're remotely as bad as that trio. Let's not forget that Die Another Day didn't come out until 2002.

The 70s has DAF, LALD, TMWTGG and TSWLM, all of which I like, or in TSWLM's case, adore.

The 90s has three films I don't care for very much, so that is the era that I will be subtracting from.

Competition between bad and worse. They are both leaving this game first.

I'll take DAF and TMWTGG over the Brosnan films. Plus the 70s game us two of my perennial Top Tens: LALD and TSWLM.

The fact that the decade that has DAD and QOS in it is still ahead of the 90's and 70's shows how ridiculous this game is, the Brosnan decade has no chance it will be gone pretty fast.

Good thing the 10's are not included, it may just win with the 00's a close second [-(

Remember, despite what the outside world may feel, QOS has a lot of support on here.

I thought you like Die Another Day? :-\"

The 2000s reputation is largely bolstered by Casino Royale, which to a large contingent is the best production since the classics.
