I want to see Fallout but, c’mon, Ethan Hunt is not James Bond. This site is proof of it.

Nope. I've never been able to get into them either.

I stopped watching the MI series way back at Part 2, an appallingly bad film and probably John Woo's nadir.

The remaining entries -- from what little I've seen -- try to push aside the worst excesses of Part 2, but Cruise's narcissism and overly calculated performances irritate me. Recently people have compared him to Jackie Chan because of his willingness to do crazy stunts, but Chan knows how to poke fun at himself, which (to me, at least) makes all the difference.

    New Bond casting call information?

    https://timetobond.blog/2018/07/30/bond-25-casting-calls/

This might be worth taking with a (large) grain of salt. But I stumbled across a Bond fan website which has obtained the full casting call for Bond 25. It lists the charismatic male and female Russian villains and the Maori henchman that we know about.

However...it also lists new casting information for the other female lead of the film:

    BOND GIRL #2/PROTEGE MI6 AGENT

    Playing age: 20 – 30
    British
Strong Physical / fighting / stage combat skills required.
Characteristics: Intelligent, brave, witty and skilful. Not a pushover.

It seems the writer may have taken the Reddit user's words to heart. However, it's written in the exact same format as the other casting calls (admittedly, this wouldn't be difficult to mimic).

Additionally, we never got a firm lead on where MI6 got their info from and it's possible they didn't want to include the protege casting call as it would lead people to question the authenticity of their 'scoop' as it seemingly confirms the (already discredited) Cashley on Reddit.

The alternative may be that Cashley was correct.

"I’ve also added a 4th character. The heavily rumored “Bond girl” role, which is more of a young apprentice for 007 to mold."

All it takes is a little reading, mate. Although Hannah John Kamen is a wonderful choice.

I like some of them but I can see where you're coming from, I thought Rogue Nation was really dull. The stunts were cool but for me it felt dull in the same way the Marvel movies are. Just sort of bland and soulless.

On the whole I'm not really a massive fan of the series. Obviously doesn't come close to Bond, or even other spy films like Bourne or Kingsman imo.

Cashley confirmed he was fooling everyone, so unless he's laughably lucky in his false assumptions, it's definitely them picking up on his "scoops."

I seem to remember there was some rumour/news that the main Bond girl would "fit the Rachel Weisz mold". :-?

    Found it.

    http://jamesbond007.net/2018/olivier-schneider-sera-le-stunt-coordinator-de-bond-25/

    Translated:

Olivier Schneider will be the Stunt Coordinator of BOND 25.

At the inauguration of the 007 Elements exhibition in Sölden, Austria, the James Bond France Club was able to exchange with Neal Callow, Art Director on the saga from Casino Royale. We learned that Olivier Schneider will be the Stunt Coordinator on BOND 25.

This function was previously held by Gary Powell since 2006. Our national stuntman was choreographer of the 007 Specter battles. This is therefore a great promotion for him within the Bond family. Olivier Schneider had been the guest of the club in Anet in November 2016.

Neal Callow also told us that he would start working full time on BOND 25 this Friday, July 13th. Until then, he shared his work between 007 Elements and BOND 25, which is in the research and development phase. This is to give ideas to the director, Danny Boyle, to clarify the choice of shooting locations according to the evolution of the scenario and characters. This is therefore a period of brainstorming for production.

The artistic director revealed to us that the character of the Bond Girl would fit perfectly to the profile of Rachel Weisz. Since Daniel Craig's wife is pregnant, this quality casting will not take place, but it reveals the direction in which they want to go.

    Art Director: Neal Callow
    Stunt Coordinator: Olivier Schneider
Bond Girl: character fits perfectly to the profile of Rachel Weisz

If take somebody who is 34 and looking 26 is better. 28 and looking 22 is good too.
Or are also accepted 1998 born who is 20/21 years old.

    To give example:

    Lara Robinson. 1998 (20/21)
    https://m.imdb.com/name/nm3041648/

    Rose Byrne. (39/40)
    https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0126284/

Both Australian. Sugest them as duo (read: Extra's) for playing Daughter and Mother for 007 in New York (read: As Guests for hotel scene)

But as Bond girl Lara Robinson is to young yet. In ten years mabey.

Three sugestions, hope not to old:

    Zoë Tapper. England. 1981 (37/38)
    https://m.imdb.com/name/nm1483730/
Like to see as Bondgirl, sugest her too as for part of Dench M daughter.

    Rachel Skarsten. Canada. 1985 (33/34)
    https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0803896/

Claire Garvey. English. Born year unknown.
    https://m.imdb.com/name/nm3569996/

Rose Byrne is actually an interesting choice.

And I had no idea she was up for CR:

Rose Byrne would have been a pretty good Vesper.

    But I like her when she's a baddie,better.
    She plays a great baddie.

Interesting article on Mi6 about the history of Universal (they deem it Bond's new 'home'):
    https://www.mi6-hq.com/sections/articles/history-universal-studios?id=04410

However, aren't MI6 forgetting Annapurna in this? Why no article explaining Annapurna's unique and intriguing backstory? It's their involvement that has me truly hyped for Bond 25. They're an edgy indie outfit known for making quality fare. In fact, any new Annapurna film is an event for me. I can't wait to see what they do with Bond's distribution.

In particular, they are known for the Oscar-worthy releases they put out. I was recently quite captivated with the Beale Street trailer, which looks set to get some Oscar nominations next year.

In fact, I always thought an edgy and hip choice like Yann Demange or Denis Villenueve were better suited the Annapurna mould. Danny Boyle feels a little crusty for their brand.

Also.....this is a major nitpick that I've noticed. But @MI6 and @JamesPage why haven't you included or referenced Danny Boyle with a picture on the website?! He hasn't event had a thumbnail made despite being attached to the film for nearly 7 months!

There was the hint that Denis Villenueve was under consideration from a Daily Mail article and it got a whole article complete with speculation that Roger Deakins would return. The article was even hilariously titled 'Dream Team'.

Meanwhile, Danny Boyle's name is mentioned in Variety, the Daily Mail confirm the rumour, Boyle himself confirms the rumour and Eon officially confirm it. But.....still nothing?!?! Can't we at least have a 'Filmmaker Profile' outlining his experience with a photo. I mean it isn't difficult, the internet is full of them.

I trust the @MI6 website to be a living journal of the world of Bond and it does a great job but this is sloppy coverage at best. Is @MI6 unhappy with Boyle's appointment or something? You shouldn't let opinion tarnish good journalism.

Annapurna aspires to be a full-fledged studio and got into distribution with the movie Detroit. It formed the joint venture with MGM to expand such activities. The JV will release MGM and Annpurna films in the U.S.

In some ways, Annpurna reminds me of Harry Saltzman, circa 1961. Saltzman had produced "kitchen sink" dramas then began looking for more commercial projects. The joint venture's U.S. distribution of Bond 25 will be Annapurna's biggest commercial project to date.

I just thought of something though it won't likely what if part of boyle's unique idea was that MI6 was corrupted and Ralph Fiennes as M was working with the main villain to kill bond and bring down the UK does that sound farfetched?

Yes and Fiennes won’t accept that as he didn’t when t they suggested the same for SP.

0% chance of that happening .
