    Good one.

Ladies and Gents, the next James Bond:

Oh, and these will be us by then ;)

    :-D

I feel that with all the delays and with five films in what will surely be something close to twenty years, they'll have to bank on a more classical looking actor for the next one, whenever that is. I mean, we have to wait years and years for them to break the formula again? No one will even remember the so called formula by then. Heck, if they give us a dark haired blue eyes actor in his 40s, really looking like the Bond from the novels, people by then will say it looks nothing like Bond, I mean, he's not even blonde, right?

So I say it here and now, they'll go for a classical approach/choice. I have no doubt about it.

Oh, and alas, Aidan Turner will be an old man by then. Just picture the beard as white.

At the speed Eon are releasing these films lately, they should start doing auditions for Bond 26 in Nursery's nationwide

Jack Rowan, only 23 now, I think he has potential.

Well it’s a good question with another 9 month push out, I assume EON will be pushing B26 preproduction that much further... I doubt they will use this time with intent to get a move on

And again, Callum Turner (30). Potential.

Nah, the guy will be finishing high school by now. Or having acne problems. Or even...maybe...he hasn't changed his voice yet.

Yes. Because the new bond is an ex-gay pornstar who was a hardcore bottom.

All the other propositions are scrutinised as well. We are talking about James Bond here, not a grown up Billy Elliott. :)

Maybe everyone should give one name they think would be a good Bond from all the actors currently within the age range of say 30 to 45 (being the age the youngest Bond started and the age the oldest Bond started).

No criticism from outside about height, colour etc just a vote.

I don’t care whether you like them or not, but calling them “gay” or a “downie” isn’t exactly a real response is it? And kinda insulting so...

You should read the insults about Aidan Turner or various other propositions, it's what happens, whether you get offended or not. Perhaps a better proposition, eh @Denbigh , what say you?

Well then that says more about you than it does about my choice in Bond. There's an opinion and there's just insulting someone for no reason. Saying someone looks like they have down syndrome is insulting, I don't care what your opinion is.

Anyway @NicNac, my choice is Callum Turner.

I loved Richard Madden in The Bodyguard. I think he would make a fantastic Bond, IMO. If you haven't watched the series, I'd highly recommend it. I can see why he is in a lot of articles talking about who's tipped to be the next James Bond.

It's a choice to feel offended, especially in this day and age. Don't forget, text is black and white, if you would have heard me saying it you would appreciate it for the banter it is. Luckily for me I hardly ever feel offended, especially on the internet.

@NicNac My vote obviously goes to the only Turner that matters: Aidan Turner

@JeremyBondon Fair enough man let's just agree to disagree. As for Aiden Turner, I could see him as Bond, I think I would just personally like someone a bit younger. I also think either Aiden or Callum would be good (more Fleming-esque) choices.

Also I wouldn't mind a Bond with the same surname as me haha :D

Fair enough indeed :) Your last name is Turner? I'm jealous, I like it a lot *high five*

Not exactly. Bernard Lee and Robert Brown are the same character. Dench's Ms are different characters.

    What was the topic again?

Is Robert Brown the same M? Ive always thought so....but Brown could be Admiral Hargreaves?

One piece of evidence to tell that they're not the same character is that Brown's M holds the same rank as Lee's but it's a lower rank of Admiral than Hargreaves'. Also factor in that EON has been known to bring back actors in different roles, as we even saw in TSWLM with George Baker playing a totally different character from Sir Hilary Bray. The idea of having brand new characters taking on the roles of M and Q was not really a thing until the Brosnan era.

In fact, we may never see new versions of Messervy, Boothroyd, or Mansfield again. When a new actor replaces Fiennes, it may be a totally new character again.

wait just one actor jeez... uhm I will have to go with Michael Fassbender if I could only choose one (obvious Hardy Cavill etc would be my back ups) but at 42 sure he could likely only do a trilogy of films every other year starting in 2022 but with the right writer and director it could work

Yea, sorry Risico. One name each ;). Although of course you can pick someone who another member has chosen. We don't need to pick all different actors. I suppose that's obvious enough...isn't it?
