Hey there, mate. Ever got around to picking up a Bond comic yet?
    December 2016
    • 0BradyM0Bondfanatic7
      0BradyM0Bondfanatic7
Nope. Some reactions to them I've read have kind of put me off of them for now. Ellis' take hasn't seemed to light the Bond world on fire, and what I've read about his take on Bond hasn't instilled me with confidence.
    • ClarkDevlin
      ClarkDevlin
Ah well. But, nevertheless, don't miss the chance on 'Hammerhead'. Not only visually stunning but also a sensational James Bond adventure story-wise and art-wise.
    • 0BradyM0Bondfanatic7
      0BradyM0Bondfanatic7
Is the "Hammerhead" Bond more in touch with the Bond we'd expect as opposed to Ellis' interpretation?
    • ClarkDevlin
      ClarkDevlin
Yes, the Hammerhead Bond is quite traditional and sophisticated as opposed to the Ellis Bond who is a trigger-happy lunatic. This Bond actually behaves like the Bond we know in general.

Thanks, mate. I thought I'd start sharing the Bondathon reviews I've done on the films outside of our thread on the forum for those that might not have seen them and were interested in reading my thoughts. I'm also in the process of setting up a blog to post all my Bond related thoughts on (my Bondathon reviews included) so I want to share them in the reviews threads so that I know exactly where they are in an accessible manner so that I don't have to reformat the text again when I have the blog up and running.

I appreciate the support and feedback as always, my dear friend!

You're up for a BondCapCon mate. Congrats!

Was it no coincidence that Mr. White's first words in SP were almost the same as those uttered by Yusef in the last scene of QoS?

Also, did you enjoy the juxtaposed shots of contemporary interiors to those of the buildings that Bond, M, and Moneypenny are often found in (older and/or rundown places) throughout the film?

What about the scenic shots of the desert including that of a train station in SP like Camille's end scene? Along with the scenes where Bond is talking to Lea's character similarly to the scene in QoS where he's telling Camille to take a deep breath for a shot.

Isn't this all a nicer sequel to QoS than SF was?

Even the word "solacing" was used when a Bond woman teased him.

    Hello again,

In the spirit of The Seven Deadly Sins, I invited to invite some writers to contribute a piece on Ian's 7 Deadlier Sins. So far, Moral Cowardice, Hypocrisy and Snobbery are taken.

What we have left are: Avarice, Cruelty, Self-Righteousness, and Malice

Would you like to take one of these?

The idea is to talk about how the sin was reflected in the books.

If it's a commentary and examination on the sins as they appear in the books you want, then I'm afraid I'll be of no use. I've read only a couple of the Fleming novels and lack the wide breadth of knowledge and experienced required for this project. I thought this was a "create your own Bond story using one of the sins" kind of deals, hence my enthusiasm. Sorry for the confusion.

No worries on this but I do like your idea of "create your own Bond story using one of the sins", so if you would like to contribute some 'fan fiction' then the door is open.

I appreciate your comments to the thread too, very interesting.

    Hello!

Would you like to be more involved in literary007.com?

I would love for you to write for us! I have an idea based off the 7 Deadly Sins I think yould be a good fit. It would be 7 writers for Ian's 7 Deadlier Sins.

Send me your email if you are interested.

Just because everything Bond stands for goes down with that picture. For me, this is truly one of the best scenes ever. And my amount of goosebumps is just do damn high when i watch it! Hi Brady, The Tumblr blogging platform allows you to post text, images, music, videos, and links with ease. Tumblr's used for more of a sharing site, however, where users tend to re-post articles and images, rather than directly commenting on them. Tumblr offers a "like" button, too, which allows you to express interest in any particular post. Wordpress doesn't really work like that at all. First of all, the Wordpress dashboard is more complex and allows for a lot more customization. If you're looking to do more text-based posts (reviews, editorials, etc.), then Wordpress might be the best option for you. The site also allows you to see how many people are reading your posts and visiting your blog, which is hard to gauge on Tumblr. Their both great blogging sites, but very different when it comes to sharing information. As I mentioned in the thread, perhaps you want to create an account on both sites to see which one you enjoy more.

Hi Brady, while not picking at you, I just don't understand, why YOU would post this error list. I saw it yesterday and knew, SOMEONE would, but I expected the hater. They will jump on it with a big grin on their faces, IF indeed they still have enough fire left. But you always try to make peace, even to an extend, where I feel, its just not the right time and now, you fuel the fire. I am just curious. You are a good lad overall. Have a good weekend. Best GL
