Skyfall, gun barrel sequence back where it belongs?

I really hope its at the start TWINE was the first Bond movie I saw in the cinema so its the only proper gunbarrel I've seen

Why the frick they put the GB @ the end of QOS, only Babs and Mikey know. Put it @ the beginning, please. Just..do..it. And let's have the theme and also the '007' cute tossed in a few times. For old times sake.

I never noticed this untill just now. In the QOS gunbarrel, Craig is whering a suit, while in practicaly every other gunbarrel since Sean has had Bond walking out in a tux. What should Craig where in the Skyfall gunbarrel? I for one say the suit, but no hats please!

I'll go for the classic Tuxedo, no waistcot á lá Pierce Brosnan witch just ddin't looked right for me.

Ummm... Brozzer wore only a tux in his 4 gunbarrels. As I said, every bond gunbarrel since actually Roger's in TMWTGG has seen Bond clad in a tux. I like the suit more because the tux seems like he's too dressed-up. Like he know's he's James Bond and that he has to look th part. A normal business suit makes him seem more casual, although more casual than he looked in the Casino Royale gunbarrel...

I'm not overly fussed about Bond's attire for the Gunbarrel sequence, so long as it's something appropriate. My biggest issue as always is the placement of it. We don't always pay too much attention to the attire of any Bond in these things, they only last a few seconds, but I emplore the people involved next time out if they can manage it to put the damn thing back where it belongs, i.e. at the very start like it always was pre-2006, not after the PTS, not at the end, and by god, not in the middle of the damn film, although I hope someone was just jesting about that

It is unlikely they keep the MK12 barrel in this film, so Craig will feature in (at least) three different gun barrel designs.

I think he should wear a suit. The tuxedo is over-doing it (you know James Bond? HE WEARS TUXEDOS).

Plus, Bond is more likely to be in a suit then a tux at any given moment, and I'm tire of the average Joe thinking just the opposite.

I never liked the gunbarrel placement at the end of QoS. He already said, "Bond, James Bond" at the end of CR, so Forster could have given us the gunbarrel at the top.

So far we've heard no "experimental" crap from Mendes--action sequences based on the four elements, etc. I'm sure he will restore it to its proper place.

I don't think I've ever seen Brosnan's unused one, unless you mean the one in the TND trailer?

As for Dalton's; they chose correctly.

I do indeed. I can recall him saying somewhere he liked the first one better, to wich I have to agree. his final one looks to stiff.

If it isnt back at the head of the movie, I want the Broccolis, Craig and Sam Mendes to be put in front of an official enquiry to find out why

I think it should be fairly obvious why the gun barrel is at the end, I don't need Barbara and Michael to explain this one. It signifies BOND IS BACK.

Craig's gun barrel at the end of QOS is frigging awesome. Smooth and confident, totally natural. I have zero doubt it will be back where it belongs in the beginning. I am truly surprised that so many people still don't comprehend the symbolisms and have these fears even after DC said everything would be normal :-?

i don't understand what is the Gunbarrel. What it shows from Bond? after knowing it is a Bond style. Anyway, what it brings to the films? they are classic, i know..

This gunbarrel stuff is secondary, but I want the suit, definitely. A light gray one he wears in Turkey. I'm a bit tired of dinner jackets.

Rewatching the QoS gunbarrel, I don't think it needs to be changed much. I've tweeked it in Windows movie maker, slowing the walk and the blood, and adding the TNDs gunbarrel theme :-

It's proberbly eaiser for them to re-film the GB then slow this one down to perfection.

I've said it before and will say it again.
I love the gun barrels in both CR and QoS. It was done that way for a reason.

1) In CR 007 was not 007 until he got his second kill and hence
The gun barrel only happening after that.

2) And the Barrel at the end of QoS is to close the chapter on a Bond that was still learning his trade.

And now that chapter is closed I hope for Skyfall to begin with the gun barrel and bring back the Bond we all love.
