We are very proud to announce our new partnership with Dynamite Entertainment, a leading publisher of English language comic books and graphic novels, who have worldwide rights to produce comic books, digital comics and graphic novels starring James Bond. 007 will re-live the exploits that have thrilled and captivated fans for over half a century in fresh visual adaptations of Fleming’s classic Bond stories, the first of which will be launched in 2015.

Moreover, Dynamite plans to create a series of brand new adventures unveiling the defining – and largely undocumented – early years of Bond’s career. These new stories will draw inspiration from the Fleming canon to explore Bond’s ‘origins’: his raw early years before he gambled with his life in the first novel, Casino Royale.

Some other familiar faces from the expansive 007 mythos will also make appearances in this series – criminal masterminds, hired henchmen, glamorous Bond Girls and secret service allies – alongside all-new characters.

Corinne Turner, Managing Director of Ian Fleming Publications said “It’s over sixty years since the publication of Casino Royale, and now more than ever it’s an exciting time to be a Bond fan. We’re thrilled that 007 will be revisiting the world of comics, as Fleming’s novels have a long and successful history in this medium, ever since they began to be published as newspaper comic strips in the late fifties. Dynamite are the perfect partners to take on the challenge of continuing this legacy, and we are very much looking forward to working with them.”

The original Bond comic strips, first printed in the Express newspaper in 1958, have been republished by Titan in six Omnibus editions, available from their website.

i have a couple of these comic book adventures somewhere? They are pretty entertaining! :-bd
  • Dynamite has already established a first-class reputation for their adaptations of classic characters like The Shadow, the Lone Ranger, Zorro, Flash Gordon and many others. They are the best possible choice for comic book & graphic novel adaptations of 007. I'm really looking forward to these!

I think I will collect these as they come out.
I am not a comic collector but I will make exception here.
    There is a double appeal.
First, graphic presentation of the classic Fleming novels.
Second, new storeies!!! in the Fleming timeline. New origins stuff pre CR, but not young Bond. Instead Bond's early adult secret service work.

I just discovered this news in the back of a Dynamite comic last night and it was news to me as I had missed this thread. This is very welcome news. I buy very few comics these days because they are so expensive but I know Dynamite do some very high quality work. I'll certainly be buying these as soon as they come out.

I'm so loving this news. Can't find specific updates though. I buy my comics off a website that closes pre-orders several weeks before release and so I don't want to be too late. ;-)

The announcement was last October. We're in mid-February. Has anybody heard or read anything new regarding this?

Still expecting. The last one I've put my hands on was Serpent's Tooth which I loved, as much as Light of My Death. Do you think by any means GoldenEye will get its chance to accomplish its remaining issues?

Pity. However, I did hear some people are selling the remaining panels and artworks for a high price on eBay. Sadly I can't afford them.
