Thanks! But comparing both, I think the misterious/unusual music in the original (with the Bond theme underneath it all) suits it better. But it's always good to hear the Bond theme in strings :)

Yes I did love the original, but someone had requested the traditional be played in the trailer, so I obliged.

Unfortunately I had to cut out the 'we're going to kill them first' lines due to audio complications, and I moved the Skyfall logo right after Bond says 'Skyfall? Done.' Glad you enjoyed it ;)

@JWESTBROOK, the original is still may favorite, but I love how you used the CR theme in the trailer, especially at the end with the array of action shots coming every second. Very fine work indeed.

Been away for a bit, just caught the trailer......WOW!
Craig looks amazing, love the shot of him jogging. Hope we get to see more of his day to day stuff, as this is an element of Bond not often shown in the films.

The music sounds real cool too, absolutely LOVE the 80`s synth sound, almost a bit John Carpenter for a second!

Looks loke we might get the modern Bond with a capital B we all want eh? Now they just have to make sure Dench gets shot, and Craig doesn`t turn luvvie!

I actually thought with the shots of him (possibly) working out/training, and then him running, that we may get a look at that - would be a very nice change of pace from Bond's personal life than we've seen in the last twenty years or so.

And, as sad as it might be, that short shot of him jogging in the teaser made me take up running again, haha. Feels good, but I'm well out of shape.

I've always hated the scores John Carpenter wrote for his films, directors should direct and then hire a composer to compose!!
The music in the trailer works very well, and is a million miles away from the 80's synth sound of Carpenter thankfully!!
The score will be somewhat different, mixing large orchestra with modern day sythns!!?

Same here. A shot of him in his flat off the Kings Road getting ready for work would be fantastic. Maybe enjoying a plate of scrambled eggs. This is something I've been hoping to see for years. Won't get my hopes up though.

I hope that chap giving Bond the word association test is a certain Sir James Moloney (the neurologist from the Fleming books).

I agree! I also love the scene in Live And Let Die, where M meets Bond at Bond's home.

Also, I thought there would be no bond theme? There sure was. In fact it was a perfect tease of a Bond theme, too. The whole thing came together great.

The trailer wasn't shown when I went to see MIB either. I saw MIB in 2D...maybe the trailer is only shown with the 3D version???

It was but it's like a "hint" of the Bond theme. Fans like us could make out the notes quite distinctly, but a ordinary moviegoer would probably not realize it's even there.

I just realized that I don't think I ever really stated my opinion of the trailer. It's only a minute and twenty-five seconds so I won't comment on how good the movie is or go out and say it'll be the best Bond because we don't know that yet. What I can say is that this trailer tells alot with a little as far as tone and style is concerned. It looks like this'll likely be the most stylized Bond film we've had, which is no surprise with Mendes directing and Deakins behind the camera. While many feel the tone is a little bit depressing, I got a vibe more in line with the tone of CR, and from what I've seen and read (some of which I won't disclose) there will be an element of humor and lightness in this film that indeed has been missing from the past two and the reinvention of Q is still interesting while being kept plausible. What really surprised me about this teaser though was the scale of the film. I'm not sure how to desctibe it, but it just feels big. Obviously all Bond movies are big, but there is definately something Dark Knight-esque, and somewhat epic feeling (also further supported by some things I've seen and read) in a way that I don't think we've ever seen in a Bond movie, I think Mendes will reapply some of the classic Bond elements, but present them in a way that we haven't seen before. Once again, going back to the look of the film, I don't think I've seen an azction movie shot quite like this before. Every frame in the trailer was absolutely gorgeous, and with cohesive editing this film could, and an emphasis on COULD, earn the franchise some Academy Award recognition as far as cinematography and set design goes.

Looking back, I didn't feel like I was watching a Bond trailer, and I don't see that as a negative at all. This just evokes a feeling that I haven't felt from a Bond movie....ever. Seeing this trailer and reading some "information" I think this'll be somewhat Nolanesque in more ways than one, but I have absolute confidence in Mendes, and while we don't truly know how good this movie will be, I have yet to see any indicators that it'll be any worse than Casino Royale.

That's what's putting me off. I thought CR had a fair bit of humour for a Craig Bond film (the humour is far from lacking in this movie) and SF shouldn't have any more than what is in Craig's first Bond flick. I won't be surprised if it does though unfortunately and have always suspected that this could be the case after the critics slammed QOS for having too little humour. I'd welcome the return of a Moore style Bond film after Craig has left the role but while Craig is still Bond, it would be nicer to get more Flemingsque films in terms of the darker tone with less humour. CR has a good balance I think, and most of the critics and general audience really liked this film.

I wouldn't call it Moore-style humorfrom the bits I've seen. It's a bit more clever and witty than it is laugh out loud slapstick. I don't think it'll necessarily be the return of double taking pigeons and J.W. Pepper. I particularly like a scene involving

Witty, natural humor is good. I wasn't suggesting that SF will have Roger Moore style humour. I just don't want there to be a higher level of humour in SF than there will be in CR. However, I suspect otherwise. I especially don't desire one liners that are delivered during or following action scenes like when someone has just been killed. When Campbell said: "gone are the awful one line clankers" (or something like that) prior to the release of CR, I was so happy.
