I agree 100% Creasy. B-) Keach is one of those actors that i'll watch anything he's in. The Squeeze is currently on my DVD watchlist. But i'm not having much luck in finding a copy from my soures. :-W

Well that's no good - I'm sure it's an amazing movie! I don't recall the last thing I saw him in, but man, did he spice that film up.

You'e seen it? I've only seen clips on youtube, but whether it's good or bad, I would still like to own a copy. Take Basic Instint 2, I never would have wasted my money on buying it on DVD, but it has Charlotte Rampling, so I just had to pick up a copy.

I love Rampling! I haven't seen it in some time, but I recall 'Swimming Pool' being one amazing movie. Stacy Keach makes films or television shows better for me: Prison Break and American History X were both great.

Swimming Pool was fantastic, it's my 3rd favourite Rampling film, behind Under The Sand (#1) & The Night Porter (#2).

I have not seen many tv shows that Keach has been in. He injeted a humour into Two And A 1/2 Men for the handful of episodes he was in.

I might have to check both of those out, because she's fantastic to watch on screen. Wonderful actress.

You have not seen those? Creasy, you don't know what you are missing, she is on top form in both.
  • Yes, 'Under The Sand' is amazing. Not only for Rampling, but for one of the best actor in history... Bruno Cremer.

I watched Swimming Pool with a girl I was dating at the time and I wish they put a warning label on the video box about the front male nudity because this girl was quite conservative....

she got upset, accused me of trying to make her watch a Porno (she has no idea what a Porno is, believe me) and she stormed out of my apt.

I didn't get a 3rd date from her, thank God!

She's probably in a Convent now!!

p.s. I should had said to her: "it's not like you never seen one before!!"

    LOL!

Thanks for doing, this @virage. I kind of grew tired of doing it, figured nobody was really checking it out.
  • @Creasy I will update the thread title for major trailers whenever you or someone else post one.

Alright, sounds good. I'll probably keep it strictly to that and other really important news, because I kept uploading every single news bit and it grew tiresome and repetitive.

Willis is in G.I. Joe: Retaliation as per Deadline: http://www.deadline.com/2011/08/bruce-willis-drafted-for-g-i-joe-retaliation/

And I like the look of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo more and more. Does anyone have any idea why it took nine months to film? That's one hell of a shoot.

@Samuel001, they started shooting from September to December of 2010, took a Christmas break, then continued filming in the spring. Filming ended in March 2011.

Here's a bit of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' Score from 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo':

I like the sound of the score, moody enough to suit the series.

That's correct but filming overrun for another couple of months until May. Why it took that long is very strange.

Oh, unless you mean it was a month or two's break?

Yeah, that's what I meant. Perhaps they came back to film for another month, and then realized that more work needed to be done, so they either A.) cancelled shoots from Jan - March and went with March - May, or B.) Had only planned on shooting in March, but something happened, so they required two months more.

Right, that makes much more sense. Craig has complained of the long shoot, so I did wonder if it was actually shot in "blocks" as it were, or was just a very long.

I wonder if the two sequels will be shot back-to-back to save time?...

Anyway, here are some quotes from Rooney Mara:

    On the audition process:

“At that point I was just super frustrated. I was like, ‘You have to decide. Either you think I’m the girl or you don’t. There’s not much more I can do to prove it to you.’ I went in there sort of ready to fight. I was pissed. But David sat me down and gave me this long speech about the part. Then he handed me his iPad, and it had the press release on it. He said, ‘I’m prepared to send this out. You have half an hour to let me know if you want the part.’”

    The poster:

“I was supportive of it. I understand why there was a lot of controversy. People have a hard time with strong females and with nudity. But I think had I been doing something incredibly violent on the poster, people wouldn’t have had a problem with it. That sort of says a lot about the world that we live in. It’s just a teaser poster. I think it did just that. It teased people.”

    And the rape scene:

“It was incredibly intense. We did it all in a week — the week of Valentine’s Day, oddly enough. We were working 16 hours a day, and it was really, really challenging, not just emotionally but physically. But it’s such an important scene. We wanted to do everything we could to get that right.”

Thank for all that, very interesting read. Seemed very nerve-wracking about getting the part. I'm sure she said 'yes' instantly.

    Footloose Unnecessary Remake Trailer 2

not only is this 2nd trailer still unimpressive, the music soundtrack is a tad too loud; it drowns out some of the dialogue track!!

I couldn't understand 1/2 of the stuff they were saying and furthermore, the fast editing doesn't help either.

You are still trying to figure out what they said a second ago and they already cut to 3 more dialogue frames!!

    CRAP! PURE CRAP!

This is one movie that should never have been remade, along with GHOST and DIRTY DANCING which are being remade now too!

What is the sense behind doing a sequel to a $200 million film that only made $150 million at the Box Office?

you mean the scene with the head of a shark victim appearing in the hole in the bottom of the boat?

    that was Ben Gardner's head!!

    http://allthatjaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/ben3.jpg

Ben Gardner was a local fisherman at Amity Island.

    http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20101225021351/jaws/images/d/d6/35965-9838.gif

He was the first guy in the paddock who talked with Matt Hooper. He wanted the reward for whoever caught the shark and set off with his friends to catch it, but when sharking was over, his friends went back to the harbour, and Ben went back, because he wanted money. The shark attacked his boat and killed him by presumely biting him from the stomach while eating him.

His wrecked boat, The Flicka, was discovered by Matt Hooper and Martin Brody, and when Matt went diving to see his boats hull, Matt saw a sharks tooth stuck in the boat, and when Matt got to the hole, Ben's head popped out the boat. The head was not mentioned by Matt and Martin to Mayor, but they mentioned the boat.
