Bond Driving Anthems
  • You are sat behind your wheel. You require inspiration and a little musical company to motivate your journey. Now, the challenge is to build your perfect Bond playlist (track specific) in the following environments: Urban, Country lanes and Mountains - ultimately arriving at the summit. What can Bond scores do to help you live and let drive?

If I had to build a great Bond soundtrack, I'd probably use the following bits:

Of course, the original James Bond Theme from Dr. No!

    Thunderball Theme Song
007 Prevents World War 3 from YOLT
    OHMSS Theme Song
    007 and Counting from DAF
    James Bond Theme LALD
Trespassers Will Be Eaten from LALD
Let's Go Get 'Em from TMWTGG
    Bond '77 from TSWLM
    Moonraker Theme Song
    Runaway (ski chase) from FYEO
    AVTAK Theme Song
    Snow Job/He's Dangerous from AVTAK
    TLD Theme Song

@00Beast : How fast do you drive when Necros Attack is playing ?? :-)) Very good choices indeed... But I would be afraid of going too fast with some of these tracks !! :>

lol. Good shout. It is important to note that my intention was in no way to advocate abusive or dangerous driving. God i feel like an American surgeon warning at the end of LTK! Great choices so far. I'm waiting someone to admit that they would find a lay by and play Make it last all night from FYEO. ;-)

@SirHenryLeeChaChing: I do like "Bond Into Miami". It was very swinging and jazzy!

I'm loving the heavy instrumental on this disc also! It's also great for sitting at lights whilst you wait for the gear change and away you go!... fuelled by diesel and your own sense of satisfaction. I sometimes get my nan to stand at the end of the road with a machine gun too. (that's a lie) :-)

  • Ok , so I got nostalgic and looked up my first ever post on this forum...I would love to see some more suggestions as per the criteria below;

You are sat behind your wheel. You require inspiration and a little musical company to motivate your journey. Now, the challenge is to build your perfect Bond playlist (track specific) BUT in the following environments: Urban, Coastal roads, Country lanes, up into the Mountains - ultimately arriving at the summit. What can Bond scores do to inspire you to live and let you drive?

One of my faves is the multi-story car park chase from TND! Absolutely love that track! B-)

Really suprised no-one mentioned this gem:

    Starting at 0:58
  • I'm not very good with the different songs (except the title tracks) but I'll describe them. First off though, a short story. I was driving with my then girlfriend through northern Italy whilst on holiday. We were just driving very slow on a parking place, getting ready to get back on the main road again. We had several CD's in our CD player and not much of a clue which ones. So when we drove slowly, the sun was shining, we were next to a fantasticly beautiful lake, my gf turned on the CD player and the 007 tune started playing. We both felt like we ended up in a Bond-movie and expected some fantastic stunt to happen then and there!

Anyway, I love OHMSS whilst I'm driving, as well as FRWL and YOLT. All three are best enjoyed on windy roads.

AVTAK I find more fun on the highway. That's it, really.

Streets of Bucharest is a brilliant orchestration. I loved it when I made the jump over the shot bridge in sync, as soon as the Aston's tyres hit the asphalt again the trumpets started blaring. Ah, good times...

Moby's remix of the Bond theme is pretty good for driving. Very high energy, very bondian too.
