Scottish Indepedence and Sir Sean

So the big vote is in September. We know where Sir Sean stands on the issue - but what about you? Would you vote to kick off the English yoke?

Personally, I'm all for it. Only one eighth Scottish, but if I was, I'd be voting for freedom!

    I would vote Yesh and put Sean Connery on the Euro.

    Great idea. I think longer term that's what the Scots would do - join the Euro with the pound as an interim measure.

    As a non-British person I would love it if Scotland chose independence but it won't happen. The NO vote will win.

    Yep...Scotland should join the Euro and the EU.

    If it was a Yes, I do wonder what would happen to the BBC, the Union Flag and other non-important aspects of the break.

    I'd imagine there would be lots of petty squabbling between Westminster and Holyrood. Osborne has already told Scotland they can't keep the pound.

    I agree,but as long as it doesnt touch the remaining 3 countries in the UK then sod it.

    To be honest, I think we all know it will more than likely fail. I even think Alex Salmond knows that. This is all part of the very large chip that quite a few Scottish people have on their shoulder.

    If they do become independent we can finally go to war again, put the rebellious Scots back in their place. Put them under Martial Law, give them something they can actually moan about.

    I recommend voting "No" in the referendum but then I'm a unionist so no surprise there.

    Another thing that's ironic is that he owes his entire career to the British film industry (most of which is based in England, and has a mostly English staff).

    Have to say that not many English people i know frankly care what they decide? From a personal point of view i would like to see Scotland remain a part of the United Kingdom. On a seperate note for independance? Be careful what you wish for as it seems the grass is always greener?

    It's clear that they would have to re-negotiate EU membership anyhow if they do in fact decide to break away from the Union in September 2014 and that would in itself take two years and probably countless money too. Scotland is a deeply socialist country now and so it will want to remain in the EU.
