Interesting that this is not only going to bypass the remake, it's prequel, as well as the sequels to the original film, and declare itself the original sequel.

Does anyone remember that little low budget brit horror from 2008? The one with the mercs, the nazi zombies and the underground outpost? I am of course, talking about Outpost, a film that I was (and still am) a fan of. Outpost 2 has been on the cards for a while, and it was looking like it was never going to start shooting. I'd even forgotten there was going to be a sequel until recently, I went to the Black Camel site, just in case there was news, and I found this:
After wrapping a successful shoot at the start of April, Black Camel Pictures is pleased to announce that Outpost: Black Sun is in post-production. The film stars Catherine Steadman (The Tudors, The Inbetweeners) and Richard Coyle (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Going Postal) as Lena and Wallace as they battle to prevent the undead Nazi army marching across Europe. Heading over to their facebook page I found:
James Mollett: Is this going straight to dvd?
Outpost 2: Black Sun Hell no! - theatrical in the UK early 2012
I'm not sure if a sequel was/is needed, but one thing is certain, on the strength of the original, i'll be first in line come release day.

"The Gorgon" 1963
this movie gave me nightmares and I have refused to watch it ever again. (I was in the Army when I saw it on TV)

B-D.com have just released a potentially spoiler packed synopsis of the new Texas Chainsaw film:

Interesting idea with it. Rather than follow the remake, it's a direct sequel to the original 1974 film. :-?

They gave Jason X 5/5. Wait, what? Look, I don't mind Jason X, and it's cheese factor, but 5/5? :O

My compliments to you for finding this gem. Curse of the Demon is very good and highly recommended.
