007 merchandise: The missed opportunities

Over the decades there have been all sorts of Bond merchandise from 007 vodka to James Bond socks, but I'm a little worried that EON and it's corporate partners may not have quite squeezed every last penny out of us, could it be that there are some great missed opportunities regarding Bond related merchandise? Maybe we could have Live And Let Die Alligator shower mats, Licence to Kill Sanchez talcum powder, A View To A Kill shotgun salt and pepper condiment dispenser, The Man With The Golden Gun Karate school pyjamas or Skyfall Severine drink coasters.

So have you any great 007 merchandise ideas?* If so here's the place to share them.

* The stupider the better! :)

    I like the talc idea.

Off the top of my head, here's what I'd buy...

    Dr. No bug spray.
    TLD cello-shaped sleds for kids.
    Moneypenny lipstick.
    Kerim Bey Turkish coffee maker.

That would be amazing, especially if it was shaped to look like that cable he bit in Moonraker!

    That'd be something to declare!
  • Something like the 'croc disguise from Octopussy, or 'loaded dice' game ? Maybe a toy Komodo Dragon idea from Skyfall ? Donald Grant garrotte type watch with harmless material. X-ray specs could be put to some use and you can't leave out a View to a Kill type snooper robot, but doubtless they're already in use. Wish I could find other ideas but maybe another time. Della and Felix type lighter could be beneficial as the ones I use aren't much damn good often enough

I'd say plastic replicas of James Bond gadgets for kids. Like those "Spy Gadget" toys they sell for kids. (Most of which are pretty cool.) but at a nice price. Not really expensive like the good replicas.

Model kits of the Moonraker Space Station.

Indeed. I'm especially interested in the watches and pen toys. I'm on a mission to collect the Bond branded ones, and also to make some screen accurate.

I've designed transformer toys in my 3D program, and had an idea for a silver PPK that transforms into the DB5.

Would be great to have sound/music CDs of the films so we could hear the film while driving.

Although, I would never buy one...

In the good old short-lived days of the mini-disc, I used to record the films direct from my TV so I could listen to them while travelling.

How about a James Bond cookery book? Does that exist already? With Béarnaise sauce recipe, sole meunière recipe, etc.

A Golden Gun that dismantles like the one in the film version. It could even be made by Callibri, like in the film. I've always wanted one of those, but I'm not a big merchandise collector, really. I know, shock value.

Oh, I hoped that it might have been. I'm not a memorabilia expert. Any idea where one could get one of these then?
