Ive been thinking about this for some time now, Had Tracy not been murdered by Irma Blunt in the final moments of OHMSS would she have eventually became Bond's partner out in the field with MI6? Yes i know 007 was planning to leave the spy business for good with her but the would have returned to his old job none the less had Tracy been killed or not.

I could see her also as some what of a new Moneypenny type character.

Interesting idea, not sure if she would have been out in the field with Bond. Though Tracys death is such a focal point in Bonds character, though admittedly not so much in the movies its hard to imagine a Bond without Tracy dying. Think she would have stayed at home, question is would Bond have continued to serve her majesty.

I believe Bond made jokes about starting a farm.

He would have left the secret service as his position would have been compromised by his father-in-laws's occupation.

    'Sidekick Tracy, Sidekick Tracy'

Absolutely appalling idea even if M did inexplicably fast track her to 00 status for killing Grunther.

They did it in True Lies 25 years later with Arnie and Jamie Lee Curtis. It could have worked.

Joke. Glad it never happened. Though I would rather see her as a sidekick than Halle Berry.
