    When I first heard that they were remaking a great movie I was mad, but after seeing the remakes trailer I'm looking forward to it!

    You can't remake an Arny film. That's my view of it.

    Everything gets remade eventually.

    If its any consolation Kate Beckinsale is in it. That woman just gets more and more ridiculously attractive as she gets older.

    They are films I will make sure never get remade. I will be the Tank Man of film-remake protection.

    Have you seen the russian remake of '12 angry men' ? apparently it is quite a loose adaptation of the original film, but a great film as it's very much full with current russian politics and current russian society problems.

    Arnie is so overrated.

    This looks good as far as the setting is concerned, although Dredd may even have cooler cityscapes.
    But what Farrell does looks very much like Bourne. I totally don´t recall that from the Verhoeven film.

    And I totally don´t understand how one can mention Beckinsale when Jessica Biel is on board.

    I will watch it soon, as well as finally watch the original 1957 film... I'll tell you if the loose remake is worth seeing :) But I am always fascinated by Russian culture.

    @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, the way Hollywood is churning out these remakes, you'd figure 'original script writing' was illegal.

    Total Recall is a classic, why remake it? Simple answer is that it makes money the same way Goldeneye video game remake also made money. It's all about cashing in on a name. I'll watch the new Total Recall to see what it's like but it would have to be amazing to beat the original.

    What are the chances other sci-fi classics like Alien and Bladerunner being next? I hope not.

    Total Recall should not be re-made - End Of Story

    You can't replace or try to better the guys who put together the original - Schwarzenegger, Stone, Ticotin, Cox, Ironside etc - real actors and actresses of caliber who did a fine job, and let's not forget the director himself Verhoeven, who did a fine job before that with Robocop. Just leave this movie release alone - don't try to copy it, remake it, or go one better. It's a stand alone release and one of the best movies ever made, just leave it at that :-<

    Just letting you know that a remake of Robocop is in the works, with Joel Kinnaman in lead role and Hugh Laurie as the lead villian.

    No damn surprise is it, although a remake was essentially done in 1990 with Robocop 2 - and that was awful, I can't emphasize how bad it was, but if they want to do more remakes, then what can you do :-<
