I'm not actively collecting them but I still have my mismatched VHS collection. I have some from the 1989 release, some from 1992 and some from 1995.

Every now and then a charity shop will have a bunch of the ones from the late 1990s (you know, the ones where the spines make up a big image of the five bond actors). Someday I'll start collecting them. Probably. If they are 99p each.

Yes, I'm doing the same thing. So far I've got From Russia with Love, Thunderball, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Live and Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, A View to a Kill, GoldenEye, and The World is not Enough.

I've already got them all on DVD, but it's cool to get them on VHS too!

For the most part, all of mine are Special 007 Edition from around 1995, and then I have one from a CBS Fox something or other (AVTAK), one called The Roger Moore Classics (TSWLM), and then one that I'm not sure what edition it is (FRWL). If you live in the USA, they're really easy to find at Goodwill, they've got them for around $2 each!

The cover artwork is just what I want for the BDs or the next future release. Perfect.
  • I bought the whole 20, VHS tape collection from the late 90's of the side-art making up a picture of the five bond actors for only £10, which proudly sits on my DVD shelf.
  • I had them several times on video. earliest one's i had were the silver boxed video's from the 80s

I've got DN to TB and OHMSS to DAD where the spines form the picture of the 5 Bonds. And i've got YOLT in the 007 Collection with the gold band on the spine and this trailer before the film:

  • Moved to Merchandise
  • What category was this before then, I don't notice these things sometimes

Who misses the days of being able to get their Bond on VHS, all DVD these days, I know we have to get with the times, but I remember fondly when Bond came out and the expectant wait of a year after before you could get your hands on a tape copy, it's all a lot quicker in this day and age. Also on VHS they had a tendency to snip things out, I don't think I ever saw the uncensored cut of License to Kill before I got it on a DVD variation, there were significant things missing from my VHS copy of old and even TV showings too, similar happenings with Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies as two other examples but on a lesser extent

@MajorDSmythe: That trailer was incredible! I was always a fan of good '90s trailers, and there is a fine example!
  • well I have Dr. No through die another day....after dad they stopped making VHS as far as I know.

yeah dad was the last vhs issued...the tapes from the 80's and early 90's are the hardest to get a hold off due to how popular the mid 90's re-issues that came out at the same time as goldeneye.......

'News'. I'm always using the Categories view which makes it very easy to spot misposted threads.

Even better, does anyone collect the films on Laserdisc? The first 18 plus Casino Royale and Never Say Never Again were released.

I've got every movie on VHS at least twice. I have the rare Octopussy and The Man With The Golden Gun 1992 covers too.

Going a bit off topic here..

But does anyone have the Casino Royale (2006) VHS cover that a fan made on the old Mi6 forum? I would love to find it again so i can print it off and put it in my folder of Bond art.

I have the first 20 films on VHS. I had two collections but chucked one lot away and put the sleeves in a folder and got some old ones from the 1980s like the Happy 25th anniversary documentary.
