    @Birdleson, without you, I fear the likes of @DaltonCraig007 are left to pick up the very large slack you've left in the void.

    I respect the hell out of you guys. I could never watch as many Bond films as you do. I treat every film like an event, so just sitting down and flicking one on doesn't compute. And when it comes to the Bond films I love most, they are the ones that I end up watching the least (to preserve that special feeling). Because of that, I don't offer much help around here.

    That's true, @Birdleson. I think that's a big drawback to being there from the start, despite the obvious positives of seeing Bond go from zero to icon in real time. Us youngins' had it easy, born when all the films were already available in multiple forms and editions to watch at our leisure.

    I guess that in a way, the advent of DVD and later Blu-ray has been a long time coming for vets as they are essentially catching up on lost time and go about seeing the films continuously to make up for all the time they had to wait for them after their initial releases and the sporadic viewings they got of them on TV. I think more contemporary fans, such as those born in the 90s like myself, take that for granted a lot. Of course, knowing you wouldn't see the films often made each viewing of them special, I'm sure. That's an element we don't have the pleasure of attaining.

    I'm probably more responsible than @Birdleson for the lower viewing numbers in 2017. I haven't seen a Bond film since February 6th (3 months ago).

    I'm reviewing them all in sequence at a slow pace (at TB right now), so that also explains where I'm at. I'm probably going to run through Craig's era to freshen up on those soon, then I'll be watching and reviewing everything from LALD to SP for the next several months, while putting in probably two or three watches of each along the way. It may not make a big difference, but I'll certainly be active here for the rest of the year.

    I made the decision around the end of 2016 that 2017 would be the year where Bond owned me entirely, and I'm having a real blast. I'd like to have all 24 reviewed in depth on my blog by 2018, but I don't want to make promises as it can be a lengthy process.
