With exception to Quantum of Solace (which is a direct sequel to Casino Royale), you can really watch them in any order without difficulty.

Here's the most recommendable film from each actor. (note i'm not saying the best, because different people have different preferences, but I'll be recommending the most acclaimed from each actor.

Connery: goldfinger
Lazenby: on her majesty's secret service
Moore: the spy who loved me
Dalton: the living daylights (if you want a balanced movie) or license to kill (if you want a dark and gritty movie)
Brosnan: goldeneye
Craig: casino royale (or skyfall if you want more fantasy than realisticness)

Goldeneye is a great place to start. It's got a bit of everything.

I'd agree with that list completely.

i'd say the best place to start is goldfinger, since it contains all of the elements which most of the later bond films follow.

if you like goldfinger, you'll probably like the other bond films too.

the only films i can think of which don't borrow heavily from goldfinger are "the world is not enough", "license to kill", "the living daylights" and "casino royale".
