Where do guys like Blofeld, Goldfinger, Stromberg, and Drax get all their cronies? With special regards for the latter two, with their Messianic plans and what not, how do they convince them to go all "I'm sorry, I do not care if the world gets sunken/go WW3/gets infected by poisonous globes!" Also, seriously, how much do these mooks gets paid?

    It's called "the suspension of disbelief". It's best not to over-analyse the employment aspect of the megalomaniac lest the whole edifice collapse under too much scrutiny. It is interesting to think about though although we are dealing with something of a fantasy world with these type of megalomaniac villains.
