the unaltered version exactly the same as it was in the original theatrical release and the special edition and that's it!!

The prequels were an absolute travesty and the "Special Editions" wreak of the meddling that was done to the series by the prequels. George Lucas needs to stop doodling and release the movies as they should: HiDef remasters of the ORIGINAL THEATRICAL RELEASES. As far as I'm concerned there were only 3 true SW movies released and they were in: 1977, 1980 and 1983.
If EON started mucking about with FRWL, TB and OHMSS, throwing in new CG to "enhance" the original films I'm sure you all would be up in arms.

that's a good idea;
let's spend a few $100k and improve the explosion of Dr. No's Crab Key secret hideout!!

Spielberg has 'CGI-edited' 'E.T.' recently.

Steven Spielberg said:"When people ask me which E.T. they should look at, I always tell them to look at the original 1982 E.T. If you notice, when we did put out E.T. we put out two E.T.s. We put out the digitally enhanced version with the additional scenes and for no extra money, in the same package, we put out the original ‘82 version. I always tell people to go back to the ’82 version."
