    1. Bond's intro
    2. Waiting for Prof. Dent in Miss Taro's apartment. I love how he dims the lights, puts on a record and passes the time playing Solitaire
    3. Dinner with Julius No

    Honourable mentions:

    - Bond, Honey and Quarrel tracking Crab Key
    - Pussfeller's bar and meeting Felix

    1. Dinner with the Doctor

This scene lays the foundation for what the relationship between Bond and his adversary should constitute: underlying malice in their discourse, something that resembles mutual respect (intellect-wise) and both trying to outwit one another (a perfect example in this case being Bond's line "does the toppling of American missiles really compensate for having no hands?"). Joesph Wiseman portrays Dr. No excellently, with contempt in his every word, yet there is something rather understated in his manner. Equally excellent is Connery as Bond, not quite a performance as commanding as in FRWL, but his back and forth verbal spat with Dr. No is great to watch.

    2. You've had your six

I can't really say much that hasn't been said already about this scene other than it is a truly important scene in the series that remains as iconic today as it did 53 years ago. The cold-blooded killing of Dent told the audience there and then that this suave spy who we are just getting used to is also a killer who won't hesitate to pull a trigger.

    3. "Almost" immediately

Curious to note that all three of my favourite scenes from DR. NO are all scenes that are key in the formulation of the James Bond character. Bond's encounter with Sylvia Trench in his apartment encapsulates the Bond-Bond girl relationship perfectly- Trench seduces Bond so sensually, and her wearing of Bond's shirt is both sexy and shows that she is unashamedly confident in her ways, "I changed into something more comfortable- I hope I did the right thing", this indicates that she is willing to be tamed by Bond. This scene deservedly places third.

My three have already been mentioned, but I think that just shows how good those scenes are:

    1. Bond kills Dent
    2. Dinner with Dr. No
    3. Bond meets Honey on the beach

Honorable mentions go to Dent receiving the spider and "Bond. James Bond."

I did something along a similar vein here. If I were to pick only three:

    1. Weird ambient noises, dots, gunbarrel, blood, musical explosion!
    2. Bond, James Bond
    3. You've had your six

    1. Bond, James Bond
    2. Three Blind Mouse

    3. Airport scene / Sigaret scene

I think next Airport scene in FRWL is better one. Airport scene in QOS whas nice reference to that scene.

    Bond. James Bond
Bond finds sylvia in his apartment
    Killing Dent.

    Honorable Mentions
    Bond and Moneypennys first scene
Bond having dinner with Dr No
    The ending

By the ending I don't mean i wanted this to end but the ending scene had great tension by Bond looking for Honey while the place was about the explode and their kiss in the boat was sexy and Romantic at the same time.

    - "They were on their way to a funeral" (I don't remember the exact quote) and that road worker's subsequent face... :))
    - Maurice Binder's credits sequence. My second favorite after TND (wonderful work, awful music).
    - Bond shoots Dent.

    1. Bond, James Bond.

This is easily the best introduction of a main protagonist I can think of. It's full of tension, both dramatic and sexual at the same time. Bond's slight laconic pause in delivery as he lights his cigarette, coupled with the music as he meets Sylvia's gaze and utters the now famous line.

    2. It's a Smith and Wesson and you've had your six.

Up until now, Bond has largely been a civil servant abroad on business. He's stymied a spy at the airport and so far been nothing but efficiency and business in his dealings, but here we see his true mettle come through: a man ruthless and single-minded enough to take a life in cold blood if necessary. I find this a chilling yet exciting scene, because what Bond does here so easily and in such a casual manner, like a cat toying with his prey, is something most of us just couldn't bring ourselves to do at all.

    3. My name's James and I'm just looking...

What red-blooded male is not going to mention this scene? Even as a boy, I remember all kinds of unfamiliar stirrings every time I saw this scene, although it took a few years to realise what they were. Many years later, I still feel the same... wow!

    1- Bond kills Dent

    2- Dinner with Dr. No

    3- Honey's entrance

I of course love Bonds into but these squeeze past it for now

    Bond's intro.
    Dent's demise.
    Honey's entrance.

In some ways the series lost its brashness after DN. Nothing has ever seemed quite so iconic since. Perhaps you can only startle and thrill an audience once. Plenty of great Bond moments over the years, but few that seem so iconic as when Bond was first introduced to us.

    1. Bond's Intro
    2. End of Dent
    3. Felix's Intro

Agree with @CrabKey above, DN produce some huge memorable moments. Maybe because it was the first shot. Bond's Intro might be THE James Bond scene, period. Dent's kill might be THE best kill in the whole series. Just a fan of the way Lighter came after Bond's fight with Quarrel. Great way to introduce a long-standing relationship.

I wholeheartedly agree with @AntiLocqueBrakes. DN is a blueprint for all the series, and as such, almost all of its scenes are highly memorable. It's been hard to choose three of them.

Agreed- DN is just one memorable moment after another. When I think of the film, Bond climbing through those water pipes often springs to mind. I really like that scene, there's a slight eeriness to it.

DN has a lot of memorable moments, so has FRWL even more I would say, but what about GF?? That movies is ONE big memorable moment, every single scene is iconic in its way, that's why GF has become the blueprint for the Bond movies, I'd say.
