Sorry to hear, but I don't consider her to be a Bond girl or part of the Broccoli/Saltzman legacy anymore than Basinger, Carrera, etc. First Bond girl honors go to Ursula Andress, Eunice Gayson, and Zena Marshall.

I said ti before I'll say it again it would of been nice if Barry Nelson (who was alive at the time) or Linda Christian had a cameo in Casino Royale 2006 a nice nod to a very good tv adaption of Casino Royale despite a few flaws.
  • But it was nice to see Tsai Chin cameo in CR

    RIP, Miss Christian.

Her daughter Taryn Power co-starred with Bond girl extraordinaire Jane Seymour in 1977's "Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger" and made her film debut in 1975s "The Count of Monte Cristo" co-starring James Bond villains Louis Jordan and Donald Pleasance.

It's an extra on the 1967 Peter Sellers CR spoof DVD.

I like Michael Pate's take on Leiter(here English and with the first name of Clarence). He played an Apache chief one year earlier in the John Wayne western "Hondo".

Well, he ought to be at least one Bond fan's favorite. The main other role I remember Barry Nelson playing is that of Dean Martin's co-pilot in the blockbuster disaster epic "Airport"(1970).

Yes, it sad Barb and Michael didn't get that chance. But at least she got to appear on the Road to Casino Royale special feature on Casino Royale blu-ray (and the special edition DVD).

I read it that she has 8 grandchildren, I'm not sure if any of them are girls and if they're actresses, you know what would be cool, if the granddaughters are actresses (or models) and their age are between 20s-late 30s, and whether if they're famous or not, I would love it if one of them ended up getting the role of Bond girls in future Bond films I can imagine it:

Today (insert name of Linda Christian granddaughter) has announced that she'll play the new Bond girl in the upcoming James Bond film which is not named yet. In an ironic new twist, this new Bond girl is also the granddaughter of Linda Christian, who played the first Bond girl, Valerie Mathis in the 1954 Climax! adaptation of Casino Royale, 8 years before Dr. No came out in 1962. (last name of Christian's granddaughter) said this to the press "My grandmother played the first Bond girl in 1954, and it was 8 years before Ursula Andress in Dr. No, I am honored to bring my Grandmother legacy by playing as a Bond girl for this new Bond film. My grandma would be so proud of me for taking this role if she was alive. I want to thank the producers at EON for casting me for this role." Bond scholars has been debating on who was the first Bond girls, it was thought Ursula Andress, and Eunice Grayson were considered first Bond girls. Others have said Linda Christian was considered a Bond girl way before the formation of EON and the official first Bond film Dr. No in 1962. The debate will continue but this will be the first time a Bond girl actress who has a relative that previously played a Bond girl in earlier film.

So what about real-life Bond girls like Playboy playmate, Lisa Dergan who appear on Raymond Benson's Midsummer Night Doom:

Is she not a Bond girl?

I fear SirHenryLeeChaChing is being a little disingenuous and factually incorrect.
Of course Linda Christian was the first Bond girl!
