There are some 2014 movies released in 2015 in The Netherlands. Night at the Museum 3 ($525,908 after 2 weaks with 95 screens.), Paddington ($270,013 first weak with 162 screens.) and Kingsman The Secret Service (101 screens $545,880 in first weak) doing very disapointed in my country. It must be said, like X-men First Class in 2011 Warner Home Entertainment and not Fox releasing Night At Museum 3. Disapointed way of promotion not help those movies. But the vacation/holiday numbers are not confirmd yet, mabey those movies did better in the weak of 21 February 2015.

Taken 3 did much better and start with 86 screens/ $1,118,382 who whas released in third weak of January 2015 and already have $2,753,539 after 6 weaks.

There isn't yet a Dutch 2015 boxoffce list created in The Netherlands, but after 7 weaks in 2015 i think we can say Fifty Shades of Grey ($2,454,650 in first weak with 122 screens) Michiel de Ruyter ($2,987,584 after 3 weaks with 124 screens), Taken 3 and (till my own suprise) The Imitation Game ($2,262,489 after 6 weaks), Homies ($1,503,521 after 4 weaks) and SpongeBob ($1,485,422 after 3 weaks) will lead boxoffice of 2015. Angelina Jolie directed ''Unbroken'' who left the list first weak of February did $1,092,954 in 5 weaks. Almoost simalar as Dracula Untold ($1,094,076) and beat ''A Most Wanted Man'' from Corbijn ($1,030,455).

''Grey'' wil possible go over the 4,3 million (If more then 1,8) in 2th weak and that be almoost simalar as total of Transformers: Age of Extinction ($4,380,298 ) in 2014 totaly deliever. Taken 3 / Game , already beat The Equalizer who's total whas $2,538,899. Homies and SpongeBob already beat the in The Netherlands big flop Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) who did $1,304,099 last year.

I haven't really studied the box office for 2014. Just based on my personal impression though, I thought 2014 was an absolutely lousy year for movies.

As a film buff I was deeply disappointed. I didn't really like Sin City 2 either, compared to the exceptional original.

The only two films that caught my attention last year were Captain America - Winter Soldier & Interstellar.

Quite frankly, I think the last good year for movies was 2012 (commercial success and critical success). I'm hoping that 2015 at least equals it for entertainment/critical success (I don't care that much about commercial success because the numbers are all non-comparable anyway with increasing ticket prices, 3D impacts, currency impacts etc.)

The Avengers 2 on this moment already get almoost simalar opening as first movie in 2012 and if it contuned like that the movie end on the 3th place if not beating Fifty Grey. But atleast there is 4th place for this movie if not in second or third weak make a big fall.

Spectre, Starwars 7 and Gooische Vrouwen 3 wil make change to shaking up Top 5. Gooische Vrouwen 2 (2014) did almoost 3-4 million les then first movie in 2011 ($ 21 million) and if Spectre do same then the movie wil do $ 21 million. Skyfall did amazing $ 25 million because of more then 2 million views. The ticket price was € 11,50. Spectre ticket wil cost € 12,00 or € 12,50, if also get 2 million views it possible movie wil make 24-27 million. With 211 screens Skyfall has not enough screen avaible, the movie wil possible open one day earlier on 4 November (or on 28 October if released earlier) by Universal to get more money in/give more people change to watch the movie and give it more screens. The movie should be avaible on 2 screens at same cinema with maximum of 15 minutes of difrence in time.

2-3 weaks a go Maze Runner 2 is in The Netherlands 1 months after the release re-ranked from 12+ (Dutch PG13) to 16+ (Dutch R-rank). Also a couple of days a go The Last Witch Hunter re-ranked to 16+.

Gooische Vrouwen 3 is delayd, but another Dutch movie named Mannen Harten 2 wil be released in December. Together with Spectre, Hunger Games 4 and Starwars 7 make biggest change to shaking up top 10.
