Connection between Quantum of Solace and Skyfall

Creative ways in which Quantum of Solace and Skyfall can overlap or be connected after the events of Casino Royale?

I am currently creating a fan edit of the Craig Bond films (3-in-1 film). I want the "standalone" Skyfall to tie into the the previous film's narrative so that the trilogy maintains continuity. Skyfall seems to take place many years after the end of QoS and contrasts the theme of Bond being a new 007 agent in the first two films. Casino Royale was so great and QoS, being a direct sequel, would work great as a shorter, more brisk continuation of CR. The problem with QoS was that there was too much action sequences and the plot did not develop that much.

My ideas:

Cut down unnecessary action scenes from QoS and make plot more clear cut (Bond is seeking vengeance).

Bond hooks-up with Agent Strawberry Fields and kisses the Bolivian girl no more than a few months after Vesper's death. This seems insensitive and unnecessary due to the fact that Bond was heartbroken and is blind with vengence during QoS.

Streamline the end of QoS with Bond going to Shanghai to track down the stolen hard drive (essentially cutting out the scenes in Turkey, Bond getting shot, and coming out of retirement/taking the MI6 tests again)

All of the shots from Skyfall with M and Mallory in London (before Bond is reinstated) would be intercut with the last half of QoS while Bond is away in South America. This would give the sense that after Bond has received closure with Vesper's death, he is needed back at MI6 in order to find Silva, who has become a threat while Bond went rogue (M tells Bond at the end of QoS, "we need you back" and he replies "I never left").

If possible, somehow relate (suggest) the Quantum organization's involvement with Silva's actions.

    No connection we are told, and that goes directly back to the Skyfall press conference when that question was asked directly to Sam Mendes and the producers.

    Perhaps have Bond discover clues to find Silva while in Bolivia, in order to avoid the plot hole of the shrapnel investigation.

    I dont agree, Bond still feels betrayed by Vesper, he is still letting what Mathis said to him on the flight sink in. He needed Fields on side so he worked his charm, by sleeping with her, he made her position untenable. She could'nt report him and risk her own career after sleeping with him. As for the kiss at the end with Camille, its more of a thank you. There relationship is based on mutual admiration more than romantic.

    The clue is all in the name Qauntum. Its a financial terms meaning "an amount" Qauntum's whole purpose is making money, but in none of the films so far has it been identified why, it does not appear to be just for individual wealth. Qauntum are therefore likely to be the money raising arm of Spectre. White is likely a Spectre agent but also Spectres banker or money man.

    Then there is the official synopsis.

    "A cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE"

    "layers of deceit" is the interesting point. Who has deceived who? What is the terrible truth?

    To be fair you could say that for the death of Greene not Silva?
