Okay, so we're a talkative bunch here. At least, we were. Dunno about now. Anyways, these "discussions" are gonna be long. Multiple pages. It's a little annoying that there's no way of going RIGHT to the latest page when selecting a discussion. It's DOUBLY annoying that the page forward/back selectors are at the bottom and not also at the top, so after going to the first page of a thread that might become 400 pages one day, I have to scroll to the bottom and then click. It's two unnecessary steps added to a process that in the "outdated, legacy" software was one.

If they honestly are and that is the case, then well done and I’m very happy for all involved. I may only have a small idea but boy, I sure know a lot of work's gone into this new forum.

We've built quite the community over the last year and I have really enjoyed being part of that growth. The community has gone from strength to strength.
Fellow Bond fans and believers in freedom and democracy can I alert you to something which may just be a computer glitch or may be something altogether more sinister.

Some of you may have been following the thread about Nikki Van der Zyl and her book over the last few days.

Sir Rog apparently wrote a foreword for this and then for some reason rescinded it at the 11th hour. At the same time Nikki was banned from attending Bond events and summarily dropped by Bondstars the company that organises such events.

Now I dont know the woman from Adam and have no axe to grind in her favour or against her but following several veiled comments from JamesPage (who as you all know runs the site) it seems that she is totally persona non grata in the Bond world yet no one wants to say why.

This is not the issue though. If Nikki (who strikes me at face value without having ever met her as a fairly harmless person who made a worthy contribution to the series) is to be airbrushed from history for reasons people wont (or perhaps cant for legal reasons?) disclose then fair enough we'll just have to live with it.

My problem stems from the fact that when I just posted on this thread:

http://www.mi6community.com/index.php?p=/discussion/3978/the-secret-bond-girl-unknown-artist-dubbed-the-voices-of-007s-best-known-beauties-but-know-shes/p2#Item_41

which is now on page 2 the website didnt bump the thread back up to the top as it does normally when someone makes a new post. I posted on another thread and this bumped to the top fine but when I posted again on the Nikki thread it refuses to bump back up and consequently even though people want to discuss the matter it is falling down the threads into obscurity faster than QPR.

Now perhaps I'm reading far too much into this but the thread was working fine yesterday and if the Mods really wanted the topic not to be discussed then just deleting the thread entirely or making up some spurious reason to lock it would make more sense.

I'd be interested if anyone else posting on the Nikki thread can get it to bump back up to the top and also if the Mods can offer any reason why this thread in particular (which has clearly been unpopular with certain people from the start) should suffer this glitch which I have never seen before.

However the overall sense I get is that someone doesnt want us discussing the matter at all and although perhaps the reasons why Nikki has been treated this way by the Bond community cannot be disclosed to us, attempts to prevent us discussing the matter at all sit very uneasily with me indeed.

I feel like I might be Woodward and Bernstein but as I say it also might me a storm in a teacup and I might end up looking like Gary Bushell!

But where might this end if principled men dont make a stand?

First they came for Tamahori and I didnt speak out
Then they came for Halle Berry and I didnt speak out
Then they came for Jack White and Alicia Keys and I didnt speak out
Then they came for the double take pigeon and I didnt speak out
Then they came for the Wizard and there was no one left to speak out!

If the Wizard suddenly disappears from the forums in the night I hope others will follow in my footsteps and break down this wall of fear and intimidation so that one day all Bond fans can be free!!

Also it would be a nice touch if someone were to erect a statue to remember me when I'm gone. :))

So my question is , will there be a MI6-COMMUNITY app where I can just access the forums on my phone without having to go to the site on my browser, it would be awesome to download a official mi6-community app in the android market or iphone itunes store. It could be nicely programmed and developed too...anyways just a suggestion. Thanks and have a good weekend to all
