I'm a longtime lurker of the forums and wanted to step in and let you guys know about a Bond item I'm selling.

This is bullet-shaped 'Die Another Day' cocktail shaker which I won from the official James Bond Street Team in 2002. For years I've searched for the item online but no trace - can I assume it is one of a kind?

Anyway, here's the listing!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=121016646239

(Some of you may remember me listing this a couple of years ago. I got cold feet about selling it that time. Sadly, times are hard these days and I must part with it... but I'd love to see it go to a genuine Bond fan!)

I mean non-existent. With the 50th coming up soon I'm sure there will be a little bit more available soon, but I'm not going to hold my breath. However, I'm going to London the weekend that Skyfall opens, for the NFL match at Wembley on the Sunday, but Saturday myself and Mrs OddJaws will be in around Oxford Street and the like, and I was wondering where a Bond fan could go to maybe pick up some collectibles, books or special DVD's??? I know that his face should be everywhere with the premiere and the 50th etc, but are there any special spots that I should alter my schedule for?? Where do I have to visit to immerse myself in all things James B????
Thanks in advance my friends.

OddJaws.

I've so far watched Dr. No, FRWL, and just started GF, but with each film I noticed that there are two skinny black bars on each side of the image. I'm wondering if I have a set that has a aspect ratio error. My TV is set to standard and I am playing these on my PS3. I'm baffled as to why this is happening and I don't want to select the "fill" aspect option as I then lose picture information on each side.

Maybe this is just how the films are and I have never noticed on the Ultimate DVD releases?

Was just wondering what memorabilia there is out there for Blofeld? I know there is the Sideshow Collectorables OHMSS 12 inch figure and a Corgi figure which is based on the YOLT version. Was wondering are there any pieces of memorabilia for Charles Gray DAF Blofeld? I have searched online and cannot find any figures of this Blofeld at all? Have any fans here made any custom figures?

Was also wondering if anyone has ever cosplayed as Blofeld?

Does anyone know if there are any Bond scratchcards coming out this year ?
Camelot have had a deal with the franchise for many years, BUT yet again it looks like EON merchandising department are all still asleep or in hybernation untill after the film is out.
The rep I deal with has said she knows nothing on a film tie in this year.
If anyone from EON reads these posts, then how about employing people from the fan sites that care about the brand and wan't to see it get bigger and better with every film.
Another missed trick, well done for not doing anything again in the UK :-q

For those of you that understand German: there is a Special Issue of the German Magazine Stern in stores now. The first 30 or so pages are mainly rare pictures from behind the scenes, some of which seem to have been borrowed from the upcoming Taschen book "The James Bond Archives".

http://shop.stern.de/einzelhefte/stern-edition/stern-edition-02-2012-james-bond.html

I bought it on the weekend and find it great value for money. Most of the pictures were completely new to me (including one of Lazenby at the tailor during a fitting for the kilt, where he exposes whether he wears anything underneath...) and the articles are well written (about the history, Maurice Binder, the music, merchandise, role in contemporary culture and so on). Nothing on Skyfall, though, apart from a short interview with the second unit and how many Audis they had to demolish in the Turkish bazaar.

Hey Bond fans
As a fan of DC as Bond , and recently saw his Tom Ford Orbis non Sufficit cufflinks, i was unlikely going to spend thousands of dollars on the cuffs, luckily i was able to find a cufflink producer that can do them by preordering. However i need more than 50 buyers to be able to get them made, the more orders the cheaper they are. for 50 pieces they will cost around 30USD including shipping to your destination . Anybody in for these? ill post pics of the dummy or DRAFT cufflink by tmrw. Cheers guys

Absolute joke. The cover is even nicely divided up so that you can have Rog in the prominent pose (seeing as he wrote it its fair enough) and then theres 5 spaces left - one for every Bond - but someone decides that a shot of Jill and jaws takes precedence.

Also its states 'Roger Moore' as the author but how much of it will be ghost written? Call me cynical and much as I love Roger but at his age I just cant see it being all his own work.

Here's a golden oldie. I came across this on whilst browing various sites. I don't know whether anyone has got a copy but it's got to be a must for any 60's Bond fan. I wish I could get my hands on a copy. Although Honor Blackman had been well known as the female star of the classic British TV series The Avengers, her star rose immeasurably after she played Pussy Galore in the third James Bond blockbuster Goldfinger. She not only cut a record album but published this book of self defense techniques. I've posted a link that has lots of photos from the book itself. Notice that one of her "adversaries" is stuntman/actor Joe Robinson, who would play villain Peter Franks in the 1971 007 hit Diamonds Are Forever....

http://www.retronaut.co/2012/05/honor-blackmans-book-of-self-defense-1965/
