These were made by myself (I am a cufflink designer and maker) for a "50 years of style" fashion shoot, with obvious production costs and though they were hand-made I ran a few extras which i would love if a true fan had instead of selling them on ebay. I am offering a great deal, here are some photos. pm me if interested.
In Raymond Benson's The James Bond Bedside Companion (2nd edn, 1988) it mentions that the John Gardner continuation novel Scorpius (1988) had a promotional Avante Carte Credit Card to promote the book, for sale at the same time of the sale of the hardback of the novel in 1988 by Guild Publishing (which had an Avante Carte credit card on the front cover). My question is, does anyone here know any more details about this or even have one of these promotional products? If so, I'd really love to hear from you.

This is quite unusual and I think it's one of the few promotions that accompanied the John Gardner continuation novels. There were promotions through the cars used in the early novels - both the Saab 900 and the Bentley Mulsanne Turbo had promotions accompanying them.

I guess that this is the best place to ask this question as you guys certainly know your stuff here in the AJB Memorabilia, Collecting and Clothing. I believe this is renowned as the very best such forum in the world. Hopefully some of the experts here may be able to help me on this. Posted below is a link to an image of the Avante Carte credit card:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:ScorpiusNovelCover.jpg

This didn't become as popular as the car collection thread on the old forum, but it is something that at least a few of us are collecting. I for one love the collection, and although it's £600, but this is spread over a year and a half, and give you a model that will be worth so much more when complete.

I'm up to issue 11 at the moment, and already have the engine and driver's seat built. When you see the complete engine in front of you, and see it's bigger than your Corgi DB5, you really get a true sense of how big this thing will be. I also like the details they've incorporated, like the headlights working, the brake lights turning on when you press the brake pedal, the engine and horn making a sound, and the ejector seat working when the little red button is pressed.

I will be tracking my build with pictures, so I'll post some when I get the chance.

I had a look for this thread but I couldn't see it. I'd imagine most of you are aware, or have seen the teaser on T.V, but a new Bond fragrance has just been released. For the time being it's exclusive to Harrods, but then after that it will be released everywhere. http://www.007.com/james-bond-fragrance/

Has anyone bought or tried it? What's it like?
(Not sure what category to put this in so I'll say news, but if someone would change it to the appropriate category that would be great.)

- James

Over the years I've been a modest collector of Bond films, games, books, collectables, magazines, and wot nots. I was recently on EBay and I had seen a few things I owned and they were worth less that I bought them for years ago and I was surprised at some of the turn outs. So half part of me who would LOVE to check out everyone else's BOND collection and other part wondering what mine is worth, I've made this Discussion to do learn more about the value(s) of our Bond collectables.

Of course I understand alot of people's point of view on the "Priceless" aspect, some things are worth more to you than the money it's worth for sure. But it's nice to see some of our collections (if you are willing to share), to see some unique items, and possibly share if your selling any items on EBay.

So take a few quick pics of your Bond treasures (if you're willing) and share with the world. Your opinions are welcome to the idea discuss the values our collectables. (Keep in mind there only opinions of values, not to say your treasures are only worth X amount, also some items may be rare to specific countries. - For instance, I'm in the US and I find it hard to get a hold of a lot of my ideal collectables, but I'm sure it may be a likewise around the world. )

(Only looking for the opinion of what my 80% is worth.)
Here it is, 80% of it, there are a few little things I'm forgetting, and the rest is in storage, but here's most of my Bond collection. Now I am not in any way, saying I have a huge collection, I'm sure there are many of you who could trump my collection by a long-shot, and I'd love to see your collections, this is just to start the thread.

Below: The infamous GoldenEye N64 April Fools Joke... Grrr. "All Bonds Mode" I remember finally beating Aztec with those almost impossible settings... and nothing. haha.

and some of my personal Bond poster I made: http://jolearon.com

excluding ( --in storage-- few more dvds, vhs, couple laser discs, couple record soundtracks, more magazines, lighter sets, micro machine sets, more video games, board games (old & new), cant remember what else oh and my Aston Martin...... joking)

Also I understand this may be a task, but it was worth it to me, going through things I forgot I had, If you have any questions about anything let me know and I'd love to see your collections. PS: I dream to have a Bond collectables room, anyone already done it?

And the jumper he wore when visiting Mathus in Italy ?
I have looked on ebay and have been shopping in a few shops around the south of England and have picked up a few bargins so far

I was hoping we'd have more out for the Christmas season, but I've heard nothing yet.

I'm dying to have OHMSS, TSWLM and GoldenEye on Blu-Ray.
I posted a question the other day regarding a sweatshirt that I recently acquired as a gift. It was manufactured by Continental Clothing and I would like to know if it is something that was produced for the crew of Skyfall. It is a charcoal grey hoodie and has "007 Skyfall" embroidered on the front left breast area and "Assistant Directors" embroidered on the right sleeve. Additionally it has the Bond logo and "50 years" embroidered on the back. I have looked online and can't find anything at all like it. I emailed Continental, but they did not respond. I posted links to photos of it below, and hopefully the links work. I should also mention that this shirt was manufactured in London, and I live in Southeastern Pennsylvania. It's a mystery that perhaps only Bond could solve.

http://t.co/Qk4sRrOEf5

http://t.co/3U7tCFXRiA

Thank You!
